addicted to cutting/skipping class :/

well the title pretty much sums it up im addicted to cutting class.
ive promised my girlfriend that i wouldnt and i go ahead and do it anyway because i cant stand going to class and its really starting to upset her but i really have no motavation to go to class, can somebody please help me with my problem? :/

What grade are you currently in? Now it isn't the worst thing in the world to skip a couple of classes, just because some days are just not worth the time. However if you are skipping weeks of school, think about the gap you are creating between you and your friends that go to school.

They will move ahead in their education getting betters jobs etc because of their commitment to go to school.

I bet this is something you must have heard from numerous people, but school is really one of the most important things of you're childhood; the betterment of your own self, so wouldn't you want to make yourself the best you can possibly be?

If your girlfriend is getting so upset about it then you know it must be something wrong you are doing. Is skipping classes really worth the loss of a relationship? By skipping and cutting classes you are obviously making her distressed.

Think about the nicer things in life that will be just that much more attainable if you go to school and succeed, then think about the nameless people that will not make any impact in this world.

Think ahead i know school seems to suck right now but your going to need it to get anywhere in life where your older also if it gets out of control and the school picks up on it your name maybe forwarded to child welfare and your parents could recive a fine just a heads up happened to my family when my litttle brother just didnt show up to school much. Im not saying go ahead and do it but cutting a class here and there isnt soo bad tho if your from the uk aslong as you get at least a C in english maths and scince you should be fine to get in to good collages and stuff tho.

and i haven't gone to that class all year, just went for the final and made a 84, its easy that's why i cant go. i also cant stand the teacher.

 

You just need to grow up and learn some maturity. This isn't a matter anyone can take care of for you, just get the motivation and do it yourself. It's not hard, and if you truly are too weak to go to school(you're not) you will never survive in the work force.

School is easy.

However, what is stopping you from going? Are you getting bullyed? Do you have friends?

Take baby steps, maybe cut down on it like go to one more class than you usually do each week.

And take it from there, It's almost summer anyways

Are you in college, highschool?

 

Do you skip all your classes, most of them, or just some of them? Ask yourself what you don't like about the class. Are you uninterested in the subject? Does the teacher get on your nerves? Do you feel lost in the subject?

Once you have identified the problem, I suggest you take steps in solving the problem. If you are not interested in the subject, maybe you should drop it. If the subject is compulsory, then maybe you could go for extra tuition and maybe find a way to like the class. If the teacher pisses you off and won't stop, I suggest being nice to him/her and study hard at his/her class. Sooner or later, they'll see that you're making an effort and stop bothering you all the time. If you feel lost in the subject, maybe you ought to ask for extra class or lessons on the subject. You might be left behind.

I know it's shit but being a cleaner is a lot shitter. It's worth it but I'd seriously hate to not have the privilege to go to school. As for cutting, it's all about what's going on around you and why you do it? I mean, fix those problems and just be happy. Sometimes you have to let go and fuck the world.

 

The way i handled it..
If i knew the class extremely well and i hated to go i would go and sleep / use it to do other homework / etc. Convert it to something useful for yourself.

 

Look at an alternative school, or and online school.

 

Do you skip class for any events ect...?

 

i used to skip school all the time in Year 6 because the school had a fail roll policy.. then one day the Police found me in a internet cafe, ever since then i haven't skipped once(expect for sickness of course)

 

If your girlfriend, and the fact that it will help you land a job, is not enough motivation then you need to accept the fact that you will not have a very good life later on.

What's the word I am looking for?... umm... Maturity.

 

I'm real glad it did! I know it may seem like it's so easy it is a joke for you, however it is so important you get through it now before its way too late to go back and try again. Just get through it the first time and then leave it then and there.

 

The only solutions is to:

1) Take those vouches out of your sig since it's too big.
2) Man up and just go to class, once you realize that school is both important and easy, it can't be that hard.

I hated school but you don't know how easy it is until you leave. Whether you like it or not, school is how you're ranked for UNI/College.
