Why was my thread deleted?

Last night I posted about 200 RuneScape account username and passwords for people to try unbanning methods with and now it's been deleted. A few months ago I posted a thread all about "Demo world" and how to play it, this was removed the night after aswel.. It seems whenever I contribute something good it gets removed. What the hell is this??

 

Do you really need an explanation for why the runescape accounts were deleted..?

It was a list of about 200 banned accounts I posted for people to test unbanning methods on. They were all banned in 2005-2006 and have been banned since. I honestly don't see what harm thats doing. As for the demoworld, I had posted a thread all about how to play it, what it was, ect. I believe it was removed as thought to be an attempt to phish, but no investigation was done. I recieved no blackmarks for either thread, as they were not against the rules. However I still would like to know why they were removed without any investigation done.

 

Because they aren't your accounts.

 

I also tried logging on about 5 of those accounts and got incorrect password.

Pretty pointless to post it.

 

If they original owner cared about them he wouldn't have released them.

 

I guess you didn't see the people posting saying they got accounts?

 

I doubt anybody has 200+ accounts and released them. They were probably phished accounts.

 

200 accounts with similar names, for example "Kele4000", "Kele400", ect. They were created by a bot.

 

They were used by Chinese gold farmers. I saw the list yesterday and didn't see a problem. All of them were banned bots(I checked the offenses on some), and the farmers didn't even bother to appeal. We should at least use this as an opportunity to test unbanning guides.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they released the bots. Maybe the shop went under.

You can't just assume that. If you remember M5city, he was a gold farmer/power leveler, he had a list of 27k accounts himself and his company used to farm gold and bot on. He would sell them in lists of 100+, and I personally bought 500 level 3's from him. They were all banned (except for like 4, which weren't good.) I could technically release them for people to test on, considering they're mine and I want to help find working appeals.

The thread was removed because nobody know where those accounts come from. You're only going off a hunch that they where used for farming and that's not good enough. How do you know they weren't scammed/ phished?

 

They were all banned for macroing, I checked 3 of them and appeals weren't put in.

 

They were probably sold by M5city.

I bought accounts from him. He owned a legitimate gold farming business in China. They were his accounts used before the trade updates to buy gold, and as you can tell by the names, were made by bots. They're all similar, with similar passwords, etc.

It's most likely legitimate...

 

As legitimate as it may be, it still proves nothing. If we don't know where they come from, then they shouldn't be released.

 

People sell accounts, we don't know where they came from. What harm could this possibly doing? The original owner released these because he didn't care about them.

 

May I release my list? I'll gladly do what he is being restricted from doing. I have proof of my purchases, etc.

 

Honestly, I know I'm not staff but the accounts did work and it's hypocritical to let people trade around accounts. You don't know for sure if they're going to be recovered down the line or how the seller obtained them. Anyway, since noone else is going to, Atled6543 - Thanks for the list man, I hope my appeals work on the two accounts I tested on.

 

Although new to the powers of Moderator I feel it comes down to you're not the original owner nor the owner through purchase/trade.
