Ideas on how Jagex finds their botters?

Ok so I've think I've pretty much nailed it on the head how jagex finds out how your botting.

ITS OTHER PLAYERS. I've used numerous bots and botted on many many accounts and I've noticed that the ones that last the longest/No ban are the ones that are not anywhere near any other players. Also take into consideration that I have had successful proggies of about 31 hours (being around the highest) and these accounts don't get banned simply because they aren't around anyone that could talk to them or possibly mess with them while you're away.

Thoughts?

 

If there isn't many players around, you probably are in a place that isn't so popular. JaGeX keeps an eye on popular places ( Draynor willows, Camelot teleing area, etc. )

It's not the amount of players that matters, it's the place where you bot.

 

As an old pmod, I would tell you there are actually sweeps that are conducted weekly in popular locations. Although Jagex may have an "eye" in the sky watching, the typical nood/over aggressive botter in the end makes the mistake.

 

Jagex has no way of actually detecting if you are using software or not but they look at weird playing patterns that aren't normal and monitor you for a while and then when they've made their decision they ban you

 

That makes sense. Never really thought about it being the actual place I bot instead of the active amount of people. Well, on a side note, any ideas on good spots to bot hunting and be away from the popular sites?

 

Depending on what lvl your hunter is, i found that for XP botting ferets at eagles peak was decent and had NO people whatsoever, if you are higher though and trying to catch red chins or something, there will never really be empty spots

Yer this is true but its not just players that report other players. Jagex also do watch over the game but TBH, Not as much as they should.

 

The only time you get banned is if someone in game finds you! other than that its all good.

 

Yea i've been hearing this idea more and more frequently lately.

Seems they rely on Report Abuse much more than previously thought.

 

The other people are partly responsible for your ban. When they report you, Jagex monitors your clicks. That's usually how people get banned.
Botting naked also raises a red flag. Surely anyone would clothe their account? Also, not talking is also an issue.

Also, not talking is also an issue ) completely correct, and even if you weren't botting and someone thought u were botting he's going to report you. Jagex will monitor your clicks, and if u decide botting one day ur screwed . That's my opinion why most people get banned

 

Most bans are do indeed because of reports. These reports make Jagex put their eyes on YOU.

They DO NOT monitor all players. This is what we call "Flagged" and it's when you start to get randoms...

The best way to bot, is simply talk from time to time, do not stay in the same world for 40 hours and play legit at least once a day after botting.

 

So basically, people report you, jagex gives you more randoms, you f@#K up the randoms and they ban you . lol funny.

 

It's also good to be in REALLY crowded areas sometimes, so nobody sees you. I always bot fletching in the Edgeville bank on a BH world.

 

Ever since ive played the game ive figured out that they cannot detect you no matter how many times they say they can. I know you guys have seen the videos of back in the day they would log in and people in game would take them to the botters! If that doesnt say it all right there....

LOL, they don't find their botters, but I'd say 95% of bans come from reports..

Considering I've botted over 500mil, and 15 99's in around a year.. I'd say Jagex isn't doing to good of a job.
