    Important MSN question.

I need to know if my MSN is hacked or if it is just being frozen. When I try to log in, it says "The e-mail address or password is incorrect. Please try again." Can this be the result of a freeze, or does this mean that my msn has been hacked?

I've had this once and thought I had been hacked. I don't know what the problem is, but reset your password and you'll be able to log-in again.

Theres no way of telling this as far as I know, you have to wait awile and try again and if it still doesnt work you might be hacked, that or try a method of unfreezing it and see what happens.

O wait. Logging into Sin's link gave me this.

    Sign in failed.

You've tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect e-mail address or password, or someone else is trying to sign in to the account [email protected].

    That just means frozen correct?

Unless it was changed and you locked yourself out by trying the old password too many times, then it sounds like it's just frozen: otherwise, it would give a generic incorrect password error. Have someone keep an eye out for it, but it's probably nothing to worry about.

Nate it's like when you try logging into something too often, they lock you out so you don't guess the password

Ya, but thats how msn freezers work sometimes, is they have a mass amoutn of failed logins so it locks you out.

Wait, is your msn frozen or hacked? I sent the money to the address you told me on msn so I'm just making sure... and plus you haven't replied to my pm this afternoon after I sent the money so I'm just wondering.

Did you ever link your MSN to another e-mail address? If you did, you can use that to reset your password. I did that, since I put random security questions too.

    Important MSN question.

Many MSN freezers now-a-days are unworkable with updated versions of Windows Live Messenger. They are mainly scripted for previous versions so it should not work. All freezers do is attempt to login your account with invalid passwords preventing you to login again. This is done on MSN's mail server's side, not the messengers. I doubt you've been hacked, plus many people have tried to freeze me personally and failed horribly. All it does is prevent you to login your hotmail, I never knew it stopped you from logging in your MSN. Maybe recovering the password? That could work.
