What on earth are you talking about? Steroids don't allow for quicker regeneration of muscle, it simply increases testosterone levels and helps build mass. I'm obviously not encouraging it, nor do I use it; however, it is not a cheaters way out at all.

Exactly; his life was working out. Just find some of his quotes and you'll know why I like him when I try to increase my intensity, etc... His personal matters don't have anything to do with it.

    Motivation to Exercise?

I did think that the 90 degree thing was a little odd. I did what I have done before, all the way, and I was able to do it. I'm not that weak. lol

Increase the weight. Keep doing curls. It will slowly increase wrist strength. Dont start benching Dumbbells until your wrists and elbow joints are developed for the chosen weight. If they aren't and you don't have the proper bracing or spotter, then you could screw your wrist up for it may crumble and give way under the weight, resulting in the weight of choice, falling onto you. If you wish to develop pectorals and wrist strength at once, do push ups on your fists.

Are you serious? Steroids have healing properties. Dude, I respect you, but don't insult science. All types of -roids have healing properties. You just defined the reason why it has healing properties; 'simply increases testosterone levels'..
Why do you think they prescribe -roids to people? So they bulk up? GAH!

    Wrists and elbow joints...?

@Kleenex: I don't want to sound rude, so all I'll say is to checkout sites such as www.bodybuilding.com, rather than listen to broscience by TzTok-Hex.

Check out the information on exercises and how to do them properly (includes videos). It also has lots of information on beginner workouts as well as pics to keep you motivated.

Wrist and elbow joints.. they have muscles surrounding them. Thats how they manage to move. If those muscles havent developed properly, it means they are still weak.

    FYI Skele_Master,
Increased testosterone levels means increased stimulation of bone marrow, equalling increased red blood cell count, equalling more oxygen to the muscles, equalling faster regeneration.

Who the fuck does 5 sets? And decreasing reps is only used when increasing weights.

    For example;

    Set 1 (10kg) @ 12 reps
    Set 2 (15kg) @ 10 reps
    Set 3 (20kg) @ 8 reps

Decreasing reps at the same weight is just pointless.

If i were you, change your computer background to a motivational picture. I'm guessing you go on the computer a lot, considering you are a member of an online forum, so i'm sure you've used the computer in preference to exercising. So if you have a motivational picture, you'll most likely see it, and want to train, instead of being on the computer.

    For example, my background picture is;

    tyson,
by decreasing the weights, youre thusly accounting for muscle degeneration, yet still maintaining stimulation. Increasing weight and decreasing reps is for muscle bulking.

Unless you're 5 years old and try to bench 300 lbs, your elbows and wrists are not going to "crumble under the weight" as you said it.

Also, what I meant about steroids was directed at your "faster regeneration" and "more workouts in the same period of time" comment. If you keep doing the same weight while on roids, your obviously not be that sore.

Edit: I don't think the talk of steroids is legal on these boards anyhow, so we'll just leave it there. All I'm going to say it that you'll need to be highly motivated to get results, whether or not your on the juice.

    PS. Kleenex,

    Look up Killer 7's.

Skele, I never said anything about more workouts of the same weight and style within the same time period as a non-user.. Just more workouts in general within a day, due to the faster regeneration time, due to the increased cell production leading to increased oxygen to the muscles.

We shall leave it there if nothing more is to be said.

    Motivation to Exercise?

More workouts within the same day? If anything all that you should (hopefully) be doing is increasing your weight, and in the process, build more mass.

We're getting off topic, so my last piece of advice to Kleenex is to allot a certain time a day or per week, and make sure you don't come up with any excuses.

    Motivation to Exercise?

Okay, let me see if I got this right, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I do my 10 lb. weights in many sets, decreasing the number of reps each time.
Do as many sets as possible, until my muscles fail. Get a motivational wallpaper. Get off the computer and exercise. Increase weights when I feel comfortable with my 10 pounders. No excuses, no ifs, ands, or buts. Set a working out schedule.

    Anything else?

    Motivation to Exercise?

Kleenex, learn to do push ups in high reps per set.
Every time you rise, contract your pectorals. Fast UP, Slow as you go DOWN.
Same with every exercise. Exhale as you perform the contraction, inhale and slowly extend.
eg. Curls, Fast, controlled movement as you rise, exhale, slowly bring the weights down to a stationary position as you inhale.

    Motivation to Exercise?

Kleenex wishes to obtain pectorals in his journey, hence why I suggested the push ups =]
Slow up AND down seems to limit the reps and sets that are achievable in your workout session, in my personal opinion..
    Whatever works =]

    Motivation to Exercise?

I just assumed having slow, controlled movements would work out more muscle groups.

How would doing bicep curls train your pectorals? I just use the pectoral fly at the gym for mine.

    OT:
If you are serious about exercising, i'd recommend getting supplements.
