I just botted some coal, and i go to check how much i made for the night.

and i look at iron.
and its worth the same!

i could have been mining iron instead ofcoal!

why the hell is iron worth so much now, its the same price as COAL!

that too, but i could have just botted iron ore, and banked maybe twice as more lol

 

Fast and quick smithing xp, make iron and steel bars with it, everyone has a lower fail rate at higher smithing, iron knives in demand, Granite crab second ^^

 

I didnt no that iron was worth more then coal tbf
But at least no you know to bot iron

 

Wow, iron really flew, never knew this, id assume its for smithing ranged item purposes, but sooo many people powermine it.

Well, start mining iron.

 

I am going to take a guess and say it is because of iron knifes.
Coal takes alot longer to mine also so even when iron was a lower price you could make more money mining iron and faster xp IMO and i think this is true also... not 100% sure tho

 

But the guild is closer to the bank. For iron, you would have to run to rimmington or east varrock and thats a long round-trip.

Don't forget living rock caverns. They bring some coal into the system as well.

probably the iron knives, pures using it for rock crabs, etc. etc.

thats what i thought but i did the math

i mined/bank 700 iron ore in 2 hours.

so in 13 hrs that iboughted 4k coal, i can bot 4.4k iron.

i make alittle bit more, but id rather mine the coal, more xp, and more stable, it rather go up then down

however the iron ore is probably going to drop instead of rise in price.

when i saw that today, i was shocked XD

 

It has to do with Runescape's economy, obviously. Most of Runescape is botted now. You shouldn't be surprised at any ridiculous prices anymore on Runescape because Jagex gave up on permanently banning macroers. Expect anything that can be automated

if ge wasnt installed the prices prob would have stayed some what the same...

You can mine iron in Yaniell place just as fast

 

Yeah but iron isnt that much xp, and once your high enough coal is more avaliable and just as fast to mine.

 

just like to point out gold ore > coal ore >.>

anyways thats messed, oh well at least youll be making twice as much now when you bott
