    If there were no bots?

    Runescape would be a much better place. The economy would be great. Items would be worth their real value.

    If there were no bots?

    It would be better and worse depending on what type your play style is xD

    For me it would be better since: I love going and cuting yews (not this is an example!) and i cut 1k yew each day i would make instead of the current 450 per log i would get like 1500 per log so instead of 450k i would make 1500k and it would go so much faster!

    For the skillers (that does cooking fishing etc etc): it would be a catastrofy as the prices would go up whit 300% and all materials would be imposibel to buy in the GE

    Note the ge wouldent be abel to work if this happend as this builds of 100 peoples sells 100 yew logs and 100 people buys 100 yew logs instead of 100 people selling 10k yew logs and 25k people buying 50k yew log

    If there were no bots?

    I am going to say it would be a lot worse. Reasons for this are that;
    - prices would be way too high
    - skills would take so long to achieve high levels
    - player bought supplies would be limited
    - Less players to chat with

    On the up side thought;
    - No need for trade limiting
    - REAL pking could be back (although food prices would be through the roof)
    - higher chance for better ranks

    Overall I would still have to say that runescape's economy is run thanks to bots and also destroyes by them as well (willow price drop for example) the stability of items is all thanks to the amount of bots collecting them, without bots there would be little/no ability to have fun due to having to collect all supplies rather than buying them at low prices. (example; no/little profit for fletching yew bows now)

    There is my 2 cents :)

    As I said before, I am not spamming, I am putting across my views as everyone else is in this thread.
    Just because I have proved you wrong many times in this thread and via Private message, does not mean I am in any way 'back-seat modding' or 'spamming'. If you feel that I am spamming your thread, go ahead and report my posts, It's called freedom of speech.

    Runescape has not died, as a matter of fact it has grown. It has not stopped growing since it's date of release. More and more players are joining everyday, and even though many players left due to certain updates, the game will continue to increase in players.

    I think there would be a very small drop in players but if you think about it theres only going to be a very small number of people botting in the first place...

    But I saw someone say something about the economy and I'd agree that botting plays a large part to the economy

    You're kidding, right? The economy pretty much RUNS on bots. Think about all the f2p bots woodcutting yews, mining iron ore, runecrafting runes. If they were to just disappear there would be a lot less of the specific item, making it rise in price, making the skill needed to train using these items go up (IE Firemaking). The same goes for P2P, as many of the people fishing sharks/monks are in fact bots.

    This thread is retarded. Sega, just because this is your thread doesn't mean it's your rules. Holy is saying his opinion, and if you can't deal with that then don't even look at this thread. And might I add that your posts are the least constructive.

    What is there to argue about on this topic? What had to be said has already been said.

    We all know what RS would be like without botters, yet some of us say no to the truth. I don't really feel like copy pasting what others said, since they already covered it all. Should be locked IMO.

    There was a fine when there were no bots in RS. So if RS lived without bots before, I'm sure it can live without them now. It would also mean that prices would drop a lot.

    it would also mean that i would be level 3 and lumbridge castle just standing around

    On Topic : Anybody remember when there were around 10 botters per Yew tree in all of runescape. Yew logs were 200-250 gp each. uncook lobsters were 300 gp. Sharks were a solid 1k . And about all barrows sets besides Verac's were around 2m. I loved those days.

    If there were no bots?

    i agree that jagex would be way way worse off as botters generally get obsessed with being better than others so they pay for membership so they can train the better skills and they dont realise that once they get the best account they dont even want to play RS so all that time and money for membership was wasted lol

    and btw it is perm ban for botting offences now.
