    GPA to get into college

My GPA is bouncing from 2.7 to 3.2, so im guessing my senior year it could be 3.0+ if i take easy classes or 2.8 - 2.9 if i take college prep classes and such.

I was wondering if i still could get into college with this? If i got a 2.5 my senior year (hopefully I don't) will a college take me,

    Schools I'm looking into:

    Hanover
    Univeristy of Washington
Possibly University of Kentucky, I'll be a legacy if i join my dads fraternity.

You think I could get into any of those? Or even a lower college, my friends think it's a bad GPA and say I'm not gonna get into a college but they're all AP, students so they're expected to get 3.5's. My parents just don't care :)

Back on topic though, what do you think?

I would advise having a 3.0 or better overall. Most colleges will throw out gpa in stupid classes like gym and foods etc and then recalculate your gpa based on core classes.

Most of the time there are placement tests beforehand. you/them will both know whether you'll have a legit shot at getting in.

Senior year gpa should be your best year with a little effort.

I'd consult with your highschool counselors, they'd be able to assist you with any questions. You could also contact the schools of your choice's admissions office.

    GPA to get into college

Most colleges, especially state universities, look at your SAT and ACT scores. That's what you should be focussing on. A 2.0 is a 'C', and a 4.0 is an 'A+'. A 'B' average is probably what you should aim for, but if your test scores are better then the colleges won't mind.

I have a GED and not really great grades in HS, but I still can easily get into colleges.

    GPA to get into college

I would say the min is 3.0. I had a 4.2 HS GPA and had a hard time getting in.

    Troll fail.

You can easily get into in-state universities with a 2.5 GPA, don't worry.

Anything above that just factors into scholarships and that fun stuff/

    GPA to get into college

    It depends on the college.

Colleges do look at your classes, and the higher up they are (AP & such) the better.

Aslong as you test well I wouldn't worry TOO much about it, but I'd heavily consider getting that gpa to a 3.0. I'd just work my ass off my senior year and possibly even take a summer school class to try and get it up if I were you.
