Integrating trustwho.com into sythe?

As a legit trader, I support this. Not for my benefit, but for the benefit of the community.

 

As long as it wouldn't give out my address UNLESS I were to scam, then I support.

 

I like the idea . It would certainly 'Fear' scammers who user there personal details, Some might get round this system but others will not. The only problem I would see is its alot of additional work from the staff on the website?

We need trust to be involved in this as a lot of poeple are losing out on precious virtual items.

Personally I think its a horrible idea. The only thing this "verification system" does is "weed out people with stolen paypal accounts, credit cards and other various payment methods."

I just feel this will just lead to a false representation of trust, being that half the trades on Sythe don't involve paypal/credit cards (how would this protect users doing account for account trades?)

Also the verification system is based solely on an email address search in their database. How easy would it be for someone such as Sigex to revert (steal) someones MSN/email and gain someones complete trust? And if something such as that happens, the victims REAL NAME is forever branded "SCAMMER" in Trustwho's database.

I could see TrustWho working on a smaller forum but Sythe is way too large to safely implement and regulate a system such as this.

Just food for thought.

Edit:Also do you really think our userbase is going to fork over $10 for this?

 

Daily, MarkeeDragon/mmobay is bigger and they manage it just fine. I think legitimate users will do it. Plenty of legit people need rep here.

That's exactly the point of the system. Also, people who plan to scam but use their own payals as well, won't be willing to give out all their personal details.

This is the same as having a mod get hacked on the forum and scamming users with their name.

Actually, it would be a complete waste of time for a small forum. Only worthwhile on big forums where all trades can't be monitored to see who is involved in trades.

To be honest, this wouldn't be too bad for sythe. People on this website always use the "I have more posts than you so I'm more trusted" argument in trades, which leads to people getting scammed. This would people who don't spend all day on sythe posting in threads, an opportunity to use the blackmarket without automatically being tagged as a scammer.

 

I think this a great idea...many scammers won't be on sythe with it.

I approve, it could actually get rid off all new leacher that probly 1acc every week trying to scamm. With this system if i understood correctly you registering everything E-mail,Phone,Paypal,name,adress.

Would definitively use it.

They'd have to track me up to 7 times..... so how would that work, would I just pick my "main" address?
