Quick simple question

How do people stay online on MSN 24x7? Do they leave their computers on? If yes, then doesn't it overheat?

 

Everyone leaves Desktops on, do you use a Laptop or something?

 

Yes, they leave their computers on.
Desktops hardly overheat. If they use laptops, they have cooling pads so it won't overheat. A cold room always helps in cooling the heated laptop down some. Not much, but a bit.

 

To be honest, people that leave their PC's on overnight are fools. Why would you waste electricity? What possible benefits do you get out of it? Unless you're leaving it on to finish a download.

 

Let's not forget smartphones/iPod touches + anything else that was WiFi.

Eh. It draws power plugged into the wall turned on or off. My computer goes into a hardcore hibernate mode which basically uses as much power as being turned off while still plugged into the wall.
