    Ski VS Snowboard

Which do you prefer? No stupid responses please.

    Give a reason.

    I like Skiiing
I've snowboarded, don't like it as much. IMO less control, harder for moguls, and backcountry shit

I park/bowls on skis, and just generally do stupid stuff

    Ski VS Snowboard

Snowboarding by far. Skiing is for little kids to start off and once they become comfortable going down the mountain they switch to snowboarding. Old people is also for skiing since it is easier to do your little "pizza" and slow down.

Skier's get in the way! All skiers need to learn to go faster and stop taking up the whole mountain, it's so sad.
Womb you state that it's harder for moguls which is clearly true but isn't that the fun part!

Snowboarding is just over all cooler if your a guy, and chicks are so hot if they snowboard!

I started off skiing and did it for like a week and it was so boring. No challenge at all. When I switched to snowboarding it was such a change. So challenging learning to go regular then being good enough to go goofy! When at the park anyone who has balance on ski's can land a 6fter with no effort, but a boarder needs to be able to land sideways and then be able to carve onto an edge.

Overall I feel snowboarding is more for the athlete group who can be able to constantly be on either heels or toes and maintain balance. (But there is that select group of skier's that are sick and go down the whole mountain backwards)

    Ski VS Snowboard

SKiing in my opinion is much more amusing..

It's true that Snowboarding is somewhat hard to start off, but Skiing is very challenging if you're good at it.

Skateboarders usually Snowboard ;) I haven't seen one skateboarder skiing...
I guess they just like to be on a board.

Yeah,,, all those punks think they;re fucking amazing
I also road bike so I see kids like that
Yeah skiing if you're good is awesome, hiking up to the peaks in altah with skis is a major rush

Reported for spam. asked for reasons. SRS thread is serious

    No stupid answers :(
    JK I LOL'D

Yeah, snowboarding has all the pop culture. But skiing has the athletes

Are you serious? The boarders carve up all the snow and just fuck the mountain up. You guys are like snails, going 20 miles an hour. Moguls are fun, and if you lose all your speed trying to go over them by snowboarding its shit.

Heres the thing. I always have boarders fall in front of me, on glades and tricky slopes. Its just annoying to constantly have to dodge them/fall down myself to avoid hitting them.

also I asked for no stupid responses.

You can just go horizontal to a hill on a snowboard
Its actually harder for old people to ski, as its harder on knees. Snowboarding is less hard on your knees. (Or says many old people I know who board (like age is 60+ lolol))
Skiing isn't just for little kids. Its for true athletes. Who like going fast and not being a pussy and snowboarding.

    also
But honestly, its much easier to be decent at snowboarding then at skiing. Its a whole body workout. I always have snowboarders who bitch about not having poles, and not being able to be on flats. I have skiers thighs, aka jacked. Going down trails backwards is easy, and doesn't mean anything other than that you have twintips.

Seriously? I asked for no stupid answers. Chicks on my ski team are hot. Snowboarding chicks just wear more provocative clothing, so you see them as more attractive.

Snowboarding is just over all cooler if your a guy, and chicks are so hot if they snowboard!

What? Hitting rails is soooo hard on skis. If you split, you're fucked, going goofy isn't hard. Can you even parallel ski (for your sake its french fries instead of pizza)

    Actual athletes ski, punks snowboard

    Ski VS Snowboard

I started skiing, but switched to Snowboarding at 8 years old. I love snowboarding. IMO it's more challenging to do tricks and such which makes it fun.

Although I disagree with the whole "Skiiers get out of the way." Fuck that, they can ride the mountain slowly if they want (Skiiers are generally faster than snowboarders, but those newbies you know?)

    Ski VS Snowboard

Alta or Altah? Like Alta mountain Utah?
First off: Yea bad boarders carve like shit and go slow. As do bad skiers. But good boarders never take up as much as 4 feet. Good skiers still take up so much room. And how can you claim that boarders are f'ing up the mountain? Skiers can easily go into our board lines with no problem at all while boarders catch edges on your girly lines. + When skier's fall they take an hour to find all their crap they just lost and lay there...

At least if a boarder falls he/she can get up. I love when a skier begs people to help him get his poles hahhaahahahahahah!!!

Let's be honest you probably go to 2k elevations and go the "blacks". How can you say skiers are the athletes and boarders are the punks? How can you say boarders move like snails? I mean I guess in a straight line skiers are faster. GRATZ! My little sister who is 7 first time skiing went down a black at camelback mountain (only like 1k ele) and literally just stood there till eventually hit the bottom. I couldn't even get close to catching her, but that goes to show you anyone can ski! (I'm not saying mastering skiing I'm talking about general black/ trails)

What Shall Skill said is right: Skiers are and should be a lot faster then boarders. I was more addressing this to those freaking ski schools and every single person and their dog learning how to ski. But then I thought about when I was in Utah and even at the back bowl skiers couldn't just go straight down because of all the trees and they took foreverrrrr

When you said its easier for old timers 60+ to snowboard that statement is so false. The wear and tear being constantly on either your heels or toes is a lot worse then any knee problems that occur while skiing.

How can you claim skiing is for real athletes? All you have to do is go straight. I will say skiing is harder to master easier to learn. And snowboarding is harder to learn easier to master.

I never said hitting rails is easy on ski's? Do you even know what a 6fter is?

Ok, just by you saying that snowboarder's bitch about having no polls tells me right there the level you are at. And I am going to leave it at that.

/Will prob add more / edit this going to bed / uhh badly organized w/e
