paypal opening a case?

how should i respond?


facts:
-i spoke to the sender(not from sythe) after this happened and he had no idea what happened and was helpful.
-he didnt open the case, paypal did

why did paypal choose to investigate this payment?
how can i prevent this in the future?
what option should i choose?

 

Umm , i am not sure really , i'd choose " The buyer has already been refunded "..

 

It's because Paypal opens investigations into suspicious payments. It will get returned to the buyer's account usually. There's really nothing you can do.

I would assume that the buyer is full of shit and is trying to stiff you over. What was the purchase for? If it was for a virtual item, say other, and explain the situation. That is really your only chance of winning it.

 

Just post something along the lines of that you had already shipped the item and it was a virtual good, so no tracking information can be provided. It'd hit or miss, but it's the best chance you have to actually winning the case.
