Hi , i wanted to know the ban rate of people who bot without armours or robes. Does it help when you wear like a skill cape or a crown t reduce the ban rate? And what if you set private chat off? Would people report you because you're not answering?

Been botting for years, and I had the same questions when I began. Botting with armor/robes or other clothing items can actually reduce the ban rate as less will report you, or suspect you of botting. The more expensive the items are, the less people will assume you are botting and ignore reporting unless it is obvious. Not wearing items or wearing items have the same ban rate, though increases the ban rate when you are reported to a moderator/administrator. As long as you don't look like a botter, you should be fine. Also changing outfits could potentially help. Setting private chat/public chat off is a good thing. If people see you are ignoring them, and they notice you are not responding and they are suspicious of you botting it's clear if you have the private chat off that you can't see what they said unless they are a moderator where the text shows regardless. Chances of a moderator directing his or her attention directly to you are very slim. I always keep my private chat and public chat off, or on friends (note: I bot in a world where none of my friends are so they will not approach me) which helps as well. I would not make it a routine where when you bot, you only turn your private chat/public chat off just to bot, then turn it back on. I'd keep it like that as if it was normal for you to do those actions. So randomly turn public to off/friends if you bot with public off/friends when you play legitly to help with that. I'm sure you know the rules about safe botting, which can also help greatly if you do not want to get banned. I wish you the best of luck.

Edit: Congratulations on the Guru rank!

People who bot "naked" have a higher ban-rate because they get reported more often then people who are actually wearing clothing. For example I wear Hunter outfit with a bow with no arrows when i'm hunting chins.

I guess wearing clothes show that you care a bit about your account and people won't think you're botting so much. So always wear clothes. I myself wear black priest top and bottom with a hat.

I really prefer babysitting the account so as to drastically reduce the ban rate. So if people talk to me, I'd be able to respond. Or if my bot gets stuck on a random, I can solve it right away.

Glad I was able to help. Surprisingly, the only time I got banned for macroing is in 2006 - 2007 which was back when SCAR was popular. I used to use obvious scripts to bot with, and they got banned easily. 2008 - 2009 used RSbot.org's client, never got banned because I was seeing what I did wrong. 2010, never been banned because I follow a certain set of rules that I've made up for myself (certain amount of botting per day, random hours through the day as in it will break every let's say 3.2 hour for 2.4 hours, then bot for 4.1 hours, breaks for 3.9 hours, and so forth, all random for long periods of time) that is when I'm not controlling the bot. Usually I let it suicide bot for hours, then do legit things, and bot at random times with manual breaks. The reason most people mess up is because they bot with a certain bot at the same time range every day (let's say you only botted soul wars at night, that would be quite obvious) so, here's a suggestion. If you are wanting to bot at random times through the day and cannot bot without lag on your computer durring the day making you bot only at night, there's cheap VPS services so you can bot through the VPS using seperate ram, hard drives, and internet speed so you will not have to worry about you or the bot lagging. For a gig of ram, 1000gb bandwith a month, 1.5ghz processor, and about a 50gb hard drive you can rent for $9.95 a month which is a great price. Wish you the best of luck, you can add me on MSN if you have any questions or if you'd like me to explain anything in-depth. (hints why I post in-depth answers so I can explain it in multiple ways incase there is a misunderstanding)

It all just depends what skill you are doing really. If you are doing something like agility, then wearing no armor would be fine, but on the other hand, if you were fishing or something, plus wearing a phat and full bandos, I'm sure someone would try to ask you about it while you were afk, and realize you were botting

It's always good to wear stuff when botting, and turn off all chats..

I wear black'n'red mytic robes, tophat, and an adamant cane. Looks legit :D

The most common botting outfit that i know of is the standard clothes that all the jagex bots have. If people even see you wearing those clothes and wearing nothng, they report you.
