So I posted a thread in the runescape general section about my account that I guessed the password to. So yes I never made the account, plus the owner quit, so no harm done.
Apparently account recovery is a rule in the sythe.org rules to badger191.
Which I do not see in the rules at all.
I understand mods can ban for any reason they want but if it isnt in the rules then why do I deserve a ban?
I Read the rules very clearly before I posted the thread and nowhere did I see a rule involving account recovery.
I think its very unfair that I was banned and that the Recovery rule should be added to the rules as of now so no more false banns occure.

Basically I think I should get another chance or a temporary ban for what ive done and will never happen again.

You must think of it like this. If a person is stealing other peoples accounts do we want him on a website like this? Stealing from others is stealing, we don't need trash like him on these forums; he will just cause trouble.

It does not matter if the owner of the account quit, you're still stealing accounts that are not yours. You also don't know if they really quit or if they are just taking an extended break from the game.

If your argument is going to be, "It's not in the rules, can't ban if it's not in the rules!" then please, think again.

I've banned people for recovering accounts, it is essentially hacking. It's not their account and they steal it.

I say the ban is warranted and will not be removed.
