Question about GE update

For all of you who know how this works...I don't know much about it but how does it work? Do you have to buy an item like within 1 minute to get it or are you almost guaranteed to get something if you do it right on time?

Sniping works like this:

You camp the GE (Bots and such aren't fast enough, don't bother using them) and wait until it updates. Right as it updates you put in your offer for the NEW MAX. This will put you first in line so whenever somebody sells the item it goes to you first.

How do you know when the G.E updates does it come up saying system update or what? :L

Ok, I will explain how to catch the GE update.

1-) Go to the GE
2-) Buy a crashing item (recently dumped) for max price. You should get it instantly.
3-) Put it for sale as MAX price
4-) Keep your GE tab open
5-) When the picture of an Hourglass and ZZZ pops up, the ge updated.

This is the best way to do it, because other methods are too delayed. (IRC bots, Websites that text you)

Some items in Runescape are worth much more than their price in the Grand Exchange (Almost any rare, some armor). This means that you have very very slim chance of buying it on the Grand Exchange, because it's not traded VIA the Grand Exchange often. To maximize the probability of buying one through the GE (which is far, far less than the "true" value) you have to be the first one to put in your offer.

With that being said, you must be the first one to put in your offer, so you're the first one to get any items sold. To do that you follow my steps in my previous post.

IRC G.E bot is good for that, detects G.E updates the moment it happens, and interesting. Cheers guys.

 

If you're looking to seriously snipe, G.E bots aren't good enough. They have a 2-3 minute delay.

I don't know - Does it include a program telling you when the GE updates? Programs will have delays and therefore you'll be behind the people doing it manually.
