Boy kills dad with sledgehammer after banned from computer game

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy in southern Russia has been charged with killing his father with a sledgehammer after his parents tried to stop him from playing computer games.

The unnamed boy in the coastal town of Tuapse, located by the Black Sea in Russia's southern Krasnodar region, bludgeoned his father to death while he lay sleeping, regional investigators said.

"At around 1am (local time) on April 12, the suspect dealt his sleeping father at least two blows on the head with a sledgehammer," the region's investigative committee said.

"The man died on the spot from a head injury.

A spokeswoman said the parents had taken away the keyboard as a disciplinary measure after he spent a week playing computer games.

After the killing, the boy's frightened mother gave him the keyboard back and the boy played computer games for several more hours until he fell asleep, the spokeswoman said.

At that point, the mother, who was not injured, contacted relatives who in turn called police.

The boy, who has no criminal record, is now being held in pre-trial detention.

At 14, he is old enough to be charged with murder under Russian law.

Posted or not, this is actually humorous to me. However I do have a dark humor.

 

I read this previously & was absolutely disgusted. It was pretty funny though, seeing that people fucking take video games as serious as this.

 

That's just terrible that a kid would kill his own father over a video game. That's a really scary thought.

This would be more surprising if he wasn't Russain.

 

Im sure it wasnt JUST the computer games being taken away that led him to this. I bet that his social life was lacking, he felt unappreciated by friends and/or family. I feel sorry for the boy, as I'm sure right now he is very upset with what he did and is probably very remorseful.

I feel sorry for the family. The boy must feel horrible now. Eh he still should go to jail.

 

Im sure this is real. People have killed themselves over not getting into gaming clans, etc.

 

Maybe he played so much he couldn't tell if it was a game or not. Maybe he thought he was just pking?

On a serious note thats pretty crazy to do over a video game.

I read a few years back that a kid killed his self because a 'Hooker' wouldnt stop following him on Grand Theft Auto.
Sad sad shit.

 

As much as I would love to believe that, I can't. Simply because there's no doubt that he wouldn't just kill the hooker.
