On the ban: that was prior to the implementation of the rule and as such was unwarranted, thus you were unbanned.

On the deletion of the post: the post did not really respond to what I had spent 30 minutes writing, and just seemed to be a flagrant and careless rejection of what I had written without understanding it.

On the locking of the thread: interconnected with the above. I explained why I deleted the post and locked it. There was no further room for discussion, but this thread is less obscured and there is more to discuss, so feel free to do so.
