I used to get angry at things and i know it will be hard at first but what seems to work for me is by thinking as anger is building up what the consequences are going to be for each response i could possibly do ie punching a table = no help at all. It seems to work for me but you have to learn to do it, never had serious anger issues just the normal but yeah anythings worth a try right? Good luck.

Anger / Stress, and how to deal with it.

Music has always found a way to calm me down in anxiety/anger type situations. Usually trance/calming music work like a charm but sometimes even that doesn't work.

I've been told meditation/yoga are good, but honestly just the thought of that pisses me off so i can't imagine myself trying them out.

I've had this problem for a longtime and not until I spoke to my doc. I can't suggest any of the medications I am taking to you as it is better for your doctor to determine if any are even needed but so far it's working like a charm, but nothing seems to work for depression.

Not sure what else to suggest.

What eliza said about music, except you don't seem to be the one to like calming solutions so when i get angry i usually take out some music and just rock myself out with it, like jumping around etc while listening to some cool songs, you might like to try some hardcore first and eventually go down and down until you get some quieter music like rock, another thing would be is just go into your own world and do something in your head to forget about the situation

or just try and think of something funny

Go to the gym or start running/working out more often. Best way to relax and release stress.

Do you have an xbox or ps3 or anything like that? If not I would suggest buying one. It can be something to channel your stress and anger through.

I have a ps3, and I don't play it because it makes me angry.

Find an outlet for your anger. Play a sport, work out, listen to music, play music, anything that will take your mind off the issue that is angering you.

I'm pretty sure that's it, similar to me.. It's because of all the shit around you, happens to me all the time.. Just find something to do instead of doing something you do everyday. Hope it helped.

yeah... like lacrosse or some sort of thing involving fighting. Get a punching bag and let yourself loose. Hmm that sounds like fun.

I've got the same problem when I was younger. Back then, when I was really mad with someone, I felt like 'I should hit him asap!'. But I learned, if you wait 10 seconds, you will calm down, and after 20 seconds the intentions to attack dissapear completely. So, I'm sure you've heard this a thousand times, but still. Just try to hold your anger for a little while, and it will be gone.

Like know, for example. First intention : "Flame that unthankful retard!"
But after taking deep breathe :"Well, he said thanks..."
And after a few more seconds : "I should actually care about the fact that he has a problem, and not that he couldn't use my reply."

Just a simple example, but I know it isn't helpful.

Anger / Stress, and how to deal with it.

I understand your situation, i to can be an incredibly angry/aggressive person over absolutely nothing.

I personally believe that you have too much excess energy, which causes anger and aggression. You may not actually FEEL like you have lots of energy, you may even be tired quite often, it doesn't matter. Most people excert their energy hanging out with friends/socialising, which you do not do (just going by what i have read from your post, i may be wrong but since you said you have no close friends i assume you don't hang out with friends often).

I used to be the exact same, i used to despise seeing people, i would always prefer to be alone (if that is the same case with you anyway). But, i bought a boxing bag and i joined a gym, which helps a lot. Whenever i am angry, i either go punch my boxing bag, or go to the gym (my gym is within walking distance and is open 24/7). But i generally don't even get angry as often because most my energy is burned off at the gym. It also gives me something to focus on, since i am now obsessed with seeing results at the gym.

If you use up all your energy, when something makes you angry, you'll likely be too tired to give a shit, in lots of cases anyway. So try to find something to spend your energy on (computer games etc do NOT use the energy i am refering to).

Thats my suggestion, i hope it can help you!

Anger / Stress, and how to deal with it.

I'm going to be honest and admit I used to suffer from bad anger, I was very unforgiving, and what didn't help is my amazing memory. As all the terrible things that have happened to me I could recall in full volume looming through my head, it nearly drove me nuts at one point.

As for people taking the piss out of you, just don't think about it! that's how I've overcome being a phychopath, laugh at their jokes make them feel stupid inside.

As for little things irritating you, then that you have to solve on yourself.. that's depended on ur personality I used to date a girl like that I still feel like killing her to this day :D

You have a good understanding of where I am coming from, and that is excellent.

I've thought about getting a punch bag, but I feel i'm far too unfit for the gym. But I suppose that's what they are for, making you fit  .

I tend to make excuses like my joints hurt (they do, but not so much that I can't do anything).
    Thanks for the great advice.

I used to get picked on alot in primary school for being losing my temper while playing games such as 'kingpin' which we used to play, and wallball etc. I guess it didn't help.

No one picks on me for losing my temper these days. I think it's because If I lose it it scares them slightly? No one has ever brought it up after an incident to ask about it.

I need a girlfriend, but I just can't find the right girl :( I tried dating someone a few months back but it wasn't right.

I have the same problem, I always keep my cool when people are around me.
But when I''m having problems and a little alcohol is in the mix I let it all out.
I''ve broken my fist on walls and on people''s faces because of stupid shit.

The best thing you could do is learn to fight at a MMA class, Mauy thai or Boxing, I've started MMA and it seriously calmed me down!
