anybody grown mj before?

I'm making a klutzy and experimental growth from a seed a friend gave me. Any tips?

 

I have some, but experimental growing is not for newbs.

I'm growing something similar to sour diesel, I smoked it and it's good stuff. I have a good spot to hide it on my property and I feel like it'd be much more easily found/destroyed if I grew it somewhere else, but I'm open to suggestions

 

me n my bro are startin to grow again. you'll need money for a good light n shit. use a lot of guides and shit cuz if you dont know how to grow, chances are you'll mess up your first time. veggitative state = 16 hours of light a day so i hope your not worried about an electric bill.or you can grow outside, your bud will be poopier tho.

If your doing some serious shit like us Aussies make a strong hold put huge steel fucking gates at the front bar them off with lots of steel and shit. Grow heaps of pot and sell it there. Selling the pot just put it through the mail box and shit. If police see them in your mailbox you can't get caught for shit only can catch the guy outside because they know he got it out of the mail box but there's no proof. If police tries to barge through you flush the shit down your toilet before they can get through your front door because of the huge mother fucking steel gate it will be gone. I'm gonna grow it outside...inside seems too complex and expensive for this try. I read it needs about 12 hours dark and 12 hours light which is perfect for the upcoming months. I might post a picture when it starts to look like something, with the spot im growing in...

I grew in my house for a bit the plants got like 1.5 feet then one day we got really really really high & were sketched the house was bugged so we flushed the plants down the toilet then realized what we had done when we were sober :'( and it was funny but sad.

But yeah I suggest using a HPS bulb (400/600W), don't use MH it aint as gud. You can get the bulb+ballast for like $125 on ebay. Buy one of those christmas light timer things that can support the power of your bulbs Watts. My timer supported multiple plugs so I also used a green bulb which turned on during the dark hours so I could work on my plants in the night and see them while I talked them to sleep (green light doesn't effect plant growth). During Veg-stage they should have 18/6 hours light, and during flowering 12/12. Use a PH meter and keep the PH at 6.5. Search online and find a good soil mix I used perlite cuz i heard it was a good medium it was what I used... make sure it's sterilized don't just use dirt from your backyard (if you do wanna sterilize it you have to actually bake the shit and it stinks so i don't suggest it).
