I have noticed the dispute forum has been flooded with scammers trying to redeem themselves with blaming other people for their actions and doing every other thing possible to get an un-ban.

I was thinking a few hours ago that there should be a solution to this problem - and I.P ban.

    It goes like this:
    1 Dispute denied = 1 week I.P ban.
    2 Disputes denied = 2 week I.P ban.
    3 Disputes denied = Permanant I.P ban.

I mean really, who is going to be un-banned on their third dispute? The first dispute should carry all of the evidence anyway.
If you deny this suggestion, I think you should atleast prolong the period between disputes to avoid over-use of the forum.

It would normally support, but an IP ban is so easy to evade. It would be pointless.

    No support, sorry.

It is not meant to be 100% effective, but to reduce disputing.

Sigh. IP bans don't work on any forum. It's very easy to change an IP.

IP bans are useless, especially for this purpose.

It takes two seconds to set up a proxy and post a dispute.

    80% wouldn't know how in 2004.

This is 2010. Kids are botting, blogging, vlogging, phishing, scripting, cracking, hacking, torrenting, botnetting, and ddosing, among other things. Hell, even back in 2005 people were pulling off SQL injections (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SQL_injection#cite_note-11) and you're saying that 80% of the people on Sythe don't know how to power cycle their modem so the ISP assigns them a new IP address? What about proxies? You know what those are, you probably learned about them in school when you were sitting in the computer lab next to that kid who always wore the trench coat and never shaved. Ya know, when you couldn't access your favorite websites because your school had them blocked?

What's the point of putting an IP ban on someone who already has an IP ban? Scammers automatically get an IP ban either way.

EDIT: Oops, I didn't know you were banned

Even dumbasses can just search in google "how to get past a ip block" and some proxies would appear..

On another note, I LOL'd at the fact you think 80%+ don't know how to change IP addresses, hell, even old people know that, they do it without noticing at night when they switch off their router. lol

Anyone can change an IP, i personally feel it's a pointless suggestion, rightly or wrongly, they'll be back if they're that determined.
