    Dude are you like 9?

This Job doesn't require a brain they could train animals to do this!

Depending on where you live, you go door to door posting paper/leaflets through the letterbox, different for the USA. Don't talk to strangers if the road is double sided then, use this technique-

Do 2 houses on 1 side, then 2 on the other. You'd be done in no time, and it will feel like half the effort.

Doesn't matter if your a nervous guy, there is no social interaction in being a paper boy.

He probably means even having to see people.

Just do door to door and try to not make eye contact with people. Honestly all the advice I can give you.

Lol, just smile and act like a nice kid, that's what you're supposed to do. A lot of my friends have paper rounds, but I havn't because I've realised that it's rubbish pay and not worth the time at all Lol.
Good for starters though, follow volvic's advice though, sounds about right.

I started mine about a month ago. Make sure that you are absolutely sure that you are putting the right paper through the right door before you put it through. There is nothing worse that realizing that you have given someone a Guardian instead of The Daily Mail and having to knock on the door to ask for it back, especially when it is 6:30AM
Remember to close peoples gates when you have delivered their paper (some people get very annoyed about that) and make sure that you don't rip their paper as you put it through.
Just enjoy it, and enjoy the money. PM me if you have any more questions :)

You dont have to say much... put earphones and listen to music just in case someone wants to start a conversation they can't cause you can't hear them.

    Paperround - Help :)

Couldn't of worded it better myself.

A few months back, I had a paper round. At first, it was amazing. I was earning £30.00 a week - which was more than any of my friends - and just the biking itself was transforming my thighs. For the first few weeks, getting up at half five in the morning and being late for school was worth it. However as time progressed, things didn't turn out so good. I had to bike several miles of steep, long hills, the paper's were never ready for me to collect on time and I was extremely tired.

    My suggestions to you are:
-Stay happy. Play some nice, non-aggressive songs through your iPod or whatever, it will help out a lot.
-Try and keep your routine going. Don't go to bed at different times (well, in theory anyway).
-Speak with a civilised manor, especially to the public. People know people, who know the houses you deliver to. If you stay consistent and polite, you'll be sure to receive a great amount of Christmas tips. After 7 months of doing it, on my first Christmas I received no less than £250.

If you need any more assistance, I'll happily discuss my experiences in more detail to you, have fun!

I agree here. Being an asshole is okay with a job like this, nobody can really say anything.

I used to fold the papers before hand so it's alot easier. Then again I had 250 papers to deliver on a wednesday afternoon after school.

Also, slamming the papers through the letterbox works as a swift clean way of avoiding dogs and speeding up your run. Just try not to make too much of a bang.

We don't have paper rounds here. Remember to carry a stick just in case you're chased by a dog. Be polite and friendly to everyone. Smile :)

    Paperround - Help :)

hey.. i did a paper round for a about 3 years i started around 13.
You will be fine exempt if your like going to do ur paper round in a shanty town in uganda... i would avoid that.
but anyway i did mine in london, and it was fine you dont have to talk to anyone because you slip it thew there door and then move on. as its early in the morning you somtimes get some shifty characters. Most drunk men coming home from a late night. well i never had a problem and the only drunk guy who ever spoke to me ended up giving me 30 quid, because he said i was brave getting up so early!
To be honest you will be fine its very safe, if ur parents are allowing you to do it its because they feel theres no risk

    tips...
carry a torch, you might want a phone to feel safe. if you do see anyone weird just avoid and dont look at them, and i found my steel toe capt boots very reassuring on my paper round

Oh and if you want to get a hell of a lot of xmas tips then go to oxfam or something bye some small x-mas cards and put one in with every newspaper before Christmas comes, it might cost £5 but i got over £200 bank so it was money well spent
