Life is like a book [Poem]

I wrote this poem for my English test on writing. I got a perfect 100.

So tell me, what do you think of it?

Life is like a book

You read it, hoping for it to be good

Each day, like a page turn

Not knowing what is to come

You have your good times

And sad times, along with the bad times

The mystery of a book

Like life in a whole new way

But when we realize what we’re here for

The book starts to close

And your life ends

The book closes

The story of your life.​

I really like your poem, but adding a rhyme scheme would improve it significantly.

 

The topic for the test was a no-rhyme type. So I came up with this.

Thanks for the good comments. Think I should write more? Alot of my friends say I am pretty good.

Try to extend them to entertain us!!

 

A lack of a flow, but a neat concept. I bet with a bit more work you could make it a little more enjoyable to read.

You may have intended for it not to rhyme, but you still need a bit more rhythm.

Interesting poem, I like it but it's very short and there's a slight lack of flow as Deacon Frost said. Hope to see some more pieces from you, I like this.

I really liked it, you could make it more in-depth and maybe use words that aren't as simple.
All-in-all it was very nice poem.

 

Everything is alright, but I don't like the ending to much. Even if it ties into the Life (book/poem) ending, It was just too soon. Try to put a few more words of closure.
