xbox 360 modding question

If you mod a 360 to play burned games, can you still play online? or will you be banned.

I'm assuming you can't play online without getting banned but I'm asking because I've heard and read that some people manage to play online with a modded 360.

 

I used to have over a hundred burned games before MW2 came out.
By then my 360 got banned but my files were untouched.
So no you cannot play online and you can only play the modded games on a modded 360.*NO ONLINE*

 

Unless a new version of an Xbox 360 is released with a mod chip that can be bypassed, you will most likely be greeted with the above message. From my knowledge, there are only 5 versions of the Xbox 360 to date. The mod chip is on there only to ensure that gaming is fair for all of those who play.

If you Mod your Xbox 360, you will most likely be banned from online play instantly. I would not risk doing this, but it is solely up to you whether to risk it or not.
