    Honestly, some people...

When having a child from your own genes, genetics-what ever you want to call it, you have a high risk of the child being deformed or mentaly damaged. Incest is wrong. There is no way of looking at it, and it being positive.

In this case the woman is 60+, obviously she cannot have children. So if the risk of deformed children is your only argument against incest, there is nothing wrong with it in this case.

Did you read what I said? If there's no genetic history of deformities, mental illnesses, etc, then there's absolutely no chance of the child having any such issues. There can be no genetic disease if there is no genetic predisposition.

Besides, as pointed out, the woman has gone through menopause, and cannot bear children. If you are calling their situation disgusting because they could have a retarded child, you are incorrect on so many levels, and thus I come back to what I said to you previously, stop trying to sound intelligent, it doesn't suit you.

You apparently know very little about genetics, or even biology for that matter, so your arguments are invalid. I don't wish to repeat myself, but if you continue to believe incest is wrong, refer to my previous post.

And blackppl, there isn't anything morally wrong with it as morals are opinionated beliefs based on absolutely no evidence. So, while you may find it to be morally wrong, another may find it to be morally just. You cannot base an argument on that alone. Nihilism? I fail to see how nihilism plays into the argument here?

You have no right to condemn their actions based on your beliefs.

Wow this is pretty crazy and sick in my opinion, but it's their life's. So let them live them and who are you guys to judge people? Exactly no one. Leave them be. And i am not saying that this is "Right" I'm just saying that they have their own rights and people have their own opinions so lay off. Most people who are commenting on this probably are doing it for the easy post count so actually take the time and read about this. [I had to search it on google because the article has been removed from the web site]

I don't think anyone is posting on this for an 'easy post count', and most people don't even fucking care about post count. But clearly you do.

    Donated eggs.

Women are born with a finite amount of eggs, once they're gone, they're gone. The grandmother in this incest case cannot possibly produce offspring with her own genetic material, because all her eggs are gone.

If she gave birth with donated eggs then the increased risk of deformity usually present in incestuous pregnancies would not exist. So my point still stands, if child deformity is the only reason incest is wrong, then nothing is wrong in this case.
