Your soul.

Well, we hear this alot and tend to think about it. Its commonly discussed in the religious community that we all have one no matter what or who.

We can't see it , but in theory you can feel it it is also apparently the most Essential spiritual side of a human it also said to believe that it is your immortality in life and when you die you depart from it giving new life.
what is your opinion on the soul?

... But seriously. I believe this metaphysical entity is purely fictional, but I doubt that changes yours or anyone's opinion on the matter.

 

I don't believe in any spirituality or life after death. That is all

There so many things to be said about the soul. Personally, I believe that the soul dwells within a body and there are a limited number of souls but an unlimited number of shells (human bodies). After a person dies, the soul moves on the next body into a shell that is missing a soul such as a new born child or teen.

It's just a thought and everyone has their theory.

 

Oh yes, because you are going to physically prove there is a soul.>_<

Either way, to me it seems the soul is synonymous with the human being. The essence of a person is the soul.

 

If you would like to call the cognitive functions of a human a soul, go right ahead.

However, if you'd like to call the soul a magical, mysterious, entity, provided by a deity, go away.

 

Surely if the soul goes somewhere after we die, by definition it would have to be physical?

 

Everyone's born with one, which is why young kids are so happy all the time and enjoy almost everything in life. But with time society tries to kill the soul off with conformity, if it succeeds then the person becomes sort of like a zombie, going through everyday tasks and finding no enjoyment in anything. This is why everyone's task is to keep your inner child alive and not let it die.

 

If referring to common mythology, there is no such thing as a soul.

Different levels of consciousness and awareness? Yes, sure. A soul in the biblical sense? No.

 

I was calling it the former. I'm not that dumb.

I think it depends what context your talking in, the religious and magical views of the soul are absolute rubbish in my opinion. I think there's some sort of soul-related thing inside of you, as when you die there's just an empty shell of a body left, it's confusing and something I don't feel we will ever truly know about.
