Explanation of the trade: I was notified by our development team that someone has stolen our website design and code exactly and had pasted it onto a new colored theme.

How they scammed: User stole my website and plagiarized it.

In general I would try to be reasonable and potentially request he change it, however given it is COPY PASTED and he directly stole it, I feel that there is no way to "change this" that would be acceptable.

@Onyx If you had been reasonable and at least put an honest effort in, I would of contacted you privately and never reported you if you'd taken it down, but a 100% copy is simply unacceptable, and is theft at that point.

I'm seeking compensation of $4,000 which is the cost of the work he stole and has benefited from making who knows how much.

I'd like to also point out even the "About us" and so on the website are stolen, some of the website is word for word copy-pasted, they missed changing it. He copied the entire website and copy pasted it onto a theme.

if you took a min looking on novun's templates you will find that his templates are all looking like our website.
And as far as i know that novun is the real owner for those templates even so we asked him to do changes as much as possible so that it can be Onyx's website.
