At least ban his new account when you see it. Don't completely turn a blind eye and go "Oh nevermind. He's harmless".

This. I've banned a good number of his accounts but after a while it gets tiresome and you see that it's somewhat pointless as he'll just make a new account the second he sees that he got banned.

You answered your own question there.

I don't know if I agree with the, "he's just going to come back, so there's no point" argument. Technically, if you want to piss off a ban-evader like Harped, you ban their accounts and mass delete their posts before they're replied to (although it usually gets worse before they give up). By letting him be, you encourage him to keep coming back.

Harped is harmless in the spam forum, but in a sense, it would be better if he simply "evaded properly". Newer members won't understand why mods are playing nice with a banned user, and at least "proper evasion" requires effort, making the eventual ban of said account more meaningful.

I feel this is biased. You and Harped just flamed each other. There is nothing anyone can do really. They ban his accounts pretty quickly. But however his accounts aren't hurting anything. So no, there is really nothing to be done

I didn't flame him. He attacks me at any given opportunity. Goodness knows what for. His posts are bullshit. When people are banned, that's a way to tell them to "fuck off". He apparently hasn't got that message. If we let him go, then why do we ban every other vader?

Refer to sin's post please, womba.

this, would deface the whole point of banning him in the first place, and in his eyes, he would be a winner, what i would say is make a list of all his account names, and put them on the scammers list, and update regulary. :D

Moderators are to ban any ban evader if they return to the site, irrespective of their relationship with the person and irrespective of the ban evader's intentions. This has always been the case, and I assumed that it has been happening. If it hasn't, and Moderators are unwilling to ban their moronic friends, they should simply resign instead of inciting my cruelty. :)
