No, it has clearly been shown to have negative health effects. Plus it smells and makes everyone around you stink.

Yes, even though I personally hate it and hate that smokers make my clothes stink of their foul smelling fumes. If people want to smoke then they should be allowed to. I do agree with the ban in enclosed public spaces though.

 

No. Young people should not smoke. They usually smoke just to try it. But then they can't quit cause they can't fight the addiction.

Yes. It should be legal. We should be able to live our lives the way we want to.

I'm a bit iffy on this. I believe that if something as deadly and dangerous such as cigarettes can be legal, why can't other things that have been proven to be safer? I'm sure you know what I'm trying to imply.

 

It’s quite apparent that there are numerous negative effects of smoking, and in theory it should be banned. If banning smoking, it wouldn’t couldn’t be enforced, too many of the population smoke and being highly addictive it would be unattainable. Take prohibition of alcohol in the 1930s America for example, bootleggers selling alcohol and completely wasn’t enforced they couldn’t too many people drank and ultimately it was removed.

This would be the same situation if smoking were to be banned. My personal opinion on this is enforcing the age limit higher; many people smoke since their mindset is completely positive towards it at the time, usually teenagers. They are subconsciously thinking positives; and not bringing up the negatives they feel more secure since it gives them a tough look. When surfacing a certain age limit many people’s minds start to differ. They acknowledge the different arguments to smoke and to not. From then they can understand their decision. Take relationships at a young age for example. People always say that they are too young to understand their judgment and usually only take relationships seriously past a certain age as their mind starts to mature. So in brief, keep it legal but rise the age for people to smoke.

 

You can replace cigarettes with pot and it will still make sense
I think there should be stiffer penalties to be smoking underage

If you smoke around others, they receive second hand smoke. You are injuring others like that by smoking.

Weed is much easier for kids to get than Cigs, but I know many more people who smoke cigs than weed, aka addicted

 

They couldn't make it illigal.
people who are addicted to them would destroy themselves craving them,
and not everyone would be able to afford the nicorette patches ect.
if they made them illegal the people who are addicted to them would turn to other substances to meet there cravings.
it would just fuck everything up

 

yeah same here. not only that cigs are very easy to get as well but kids tend to go for something that is considered bad. it's just how we humans work.

I've smoked weed about 5 times. only to experiment with it and i have to say i didn't really have any effects that were comparable to Cigarettes(Choking,bad smell. Bad Hair Smell, Dry Mouth And Tongue And itchy Throat)

But with weed the only think i had was a slight buzz which was good..

And i am a constant smoker. i smoke Hookah alot. i own 3 of them. and my friends and i almost smoek every week or 2 and i don't know if you know but Hookah isn't a 20 minute thing it last a good 2 hours.
