Guide Buying/Selling subforums under Guide Sales

What I'm suggesting is to extend the Guide Sales forum into two subforums, one for selling and one for buying. Another suggestion if this was to actually happen is to move the request a guide to the Free Guides forum, where it'd be a lot more practical. Also, I've seen a lot of mods half ass verification and I've bought some shit guides beecause of it. People like to double the x/hour rates and mods should be doing something about that.

Other cheating sites have a general guide forum for people to buy and sell guides on the same forum, which is way too messy. Sythe doesn't have a place to buy guides, just a request a guide sticky which, let's be honest, nobody really uses, and nobody requests anything but free guides.

Guide subforums would be unique, and would make a lot of people stop posting buying theads in the wrond section, meaning less work for mods. It would also help people like me who actually want to buy a rwt method that isn't shit like most of the ones on that forum and are willing to offer more cash for a legit method....something we can't do on Guide Sales. (For example, offer 100$ for a 20m/h method) It'd just make things a lot more exclusive and prevent leaking because people who are willing to pay more won't be fags and leak good methods.

It'd obviously take more thought than this, but if you've bought a guide on Sythe efore off that forum you'll know what I mean.

EDIT:After looking through a lot of guide sales threads, I've been thinking, and I think some sort of template should be needed for selling threads.
For example, some reqs should be mandatory to be posted. Like if it's pure friendly, an accurate representation of what you can xfer/make an hour, etc. Again, it's need more though, but Guide Sales really needs a makeover.

There's been a new sticky about who verifies guides.
But I agree with the buying section.

Doubtful that that'll stop the problem, we'll just have to see.
Another thing is people selling their guide as the item is crashing, therefore making the guide useless. That goes for RWT and RS money making, it's BS.

In my humble opinion, Sythe.org should ban the sales of guides. I mean come on, most of them are leaked guides people have gotten from elsewhere anyway. Not to mention that none of them are actually worth buying. If the guy can make 100 USD a day with his guide, then why isn't he get out there doing that instead of selling his guide to "do so" for 5 dollars a pop and a potential of 10 dollars a day for maybe a week? Not to mention most guides deal with illegitimate practices that are patched/fixed almost weeks after the leak of a "guide".

How many people do you know that make careers out of sharecash? I mean the average user of this sight is probably 15 years of age. When I was 15, making 100 dollars a week would have been a king's fortune. Have we somehow evolved in business practices to be able to do so easily at the age of 15? I think not. Could it be testament alone that a majority of guide sales come from <2 month join date leachers?

Why waste human resources having mods/admins police the sale of a most often malicious and not genuine category? It just doesn't make sense to me.

I somewhat agree, Sythe should definitely crack down on bad guides, I've bought my fair share, and a lot of the guides being sold are bullshit, mostly outdated or available for free on other sites, or involving crashing items, rendering the guide useless. But at the same time I have hope that if a buying forum is made, people will maybe have a little more luck with it. I'm personally willing to shell out serious cash for a legit rwt method, but how can I let people know that if there's no buying threads allowed and no place to post that I'm looking for something? I really think having a place for buying threads would make a big difference to a lot of people, I see 10+ buying threads a day. It'd give them a chance to make guidelines for sellers to pitch their guides, meaning they can weed out most of the bullshit instead of combing through selling threads that are a complete gamble to buy.

Point being, I'd rather have a slight chance than nothing.
And as far as human resources, if that becomes a problem I'm sure there would be no trouble finding more mods to verify.

Perhaps restrict guide sales to video game related guides?

I definitely support the buying section. How are people supposed to know which guides to make if they don't know what the people want?

This was added before i do believe, Guide sales. It failed miserably because much of it was bogus sales, and many got patched and were still being sold after patches.

I've had the same problem with mods verifying methods. I've also had them verify rs moneymaking methods where the item had crashed or was in the process of crashing and didn't sell. Not to mention I've bought mod verified guides that were advertised as 10m/h that turned out being free on other sites and only 2m/h if that.
Request a guide is mostly pertaining to free guides anyways.

That's why people need to be smart about it and ask for reqs so they don't get scammed. If you're enough of an idiot to not have it get verified first if you're paying up front then you deserve to be smacked up. It would mainly be for people looking for more specific guides, and most likely ones that are worth more than the shit people put on guide sales. Some people actually want to get a rwt method and not leak it for the sake of selling gp, and putting up an offer to buy a good one isn't possible right now. All you can do is waste your time with less than a sliver of hope of finding a method on the guide sales. It'd be nice to have at least the option to put an offer out there instead of combing through gold seller threads begging for their methods, or spending your money on every bad guide there is.

    As with everything else.
There's obviously going to be downfalls, but they'll be the same as any other on the rest of the site, scammers are everywhere.
