What was a good armor back then!?

ok so i look at these threads and they talk about back to 2004? 2003?

some say that they lose black/mithril so they quit.
died with 5k so they quit!?

i never played until 2005?2006?
so can someone plz explain to me lol.

when I was playing, I greatly admire Bronze and Iron armors.

 

Rune was the best still, but people were new so they thought Mith was awesome.

 

i heard rune was worth up to 2m? 2.5m?

 

^I think it was, since it was the best Armour before dragon.

 

It's not that mithril armour was good, it's that the players were new. I mean, when I first started I lost about 700gp and quit for a day - it happens.

A rune armor set use to go for 210k on the dot, in 2004. I always remember having around 190k, and everyone would decline my trade >.<

 

Lol i remember i bought a rune axe for 1k (it was 20k worth) back in 200? lol cant remember year, but i was hella glad

 

yea... i was so sad when i lost full mithril because i thought it was worth a lot... when someone gave me an addy platebody it was the happiest day of my life =)

 

think about it.. these days people were maxed out etc.. back then you see a lvl 100 you were instantly popular... I have been playing since classic and when someone gave me full iron and a str ammy I almsot died of happiness =)

*edit* I belive it was Ruby amulet, I dont think there were "str ammy" lol

 

At one point, I believe, Adamant was the best armor. Anyways, I think you read our "first death" thread.

 

Rune was the best, I remember it when I first started at around 250k. That's me though.

 

Yes, addy was the best armor back in RSC. Then rune came along. Then dragon medium helmet and dragon sq sheild. Those two are still the only dragon armor in RSC.

 

I remember back in the day when I thought i was a god with full addy lmao

The reason people quit was because the game was freaking difficult for a 10 year old back then. Took me months to get full addy, and 600 coins was a lot.

 

I thought I was hell rich when I got my first 1k.

Yea some guy once gave me a few k.... I worshipped him for the next few days XD

He told me he would give me a rune long when I could wield it, but then he quit. *tear*
