I hope it becomes legal although the goverment better not take it over because then they'll screw it up.

Actually, I almost got in a few fights lol, but that was when I wasn't use to it.

    Legalization of marijuana

i smoke weed every single day. on 4/20, i celebrated my 365th consecutive day in a row without missing a single day. I have smoked since i was 13, and plan on smoking until i die.
I can quit if i needed, and have in some situations. im not addicted in any way and do not rely on the drug in any way.
I have a 4.0, straight As this entire year and proud honor roll student. i hold up a job that pays for school and food, and i have a healthy relationship.
so someone please tell me, how the fuck is weed hurting me?
call it coincidence but before i smoked i was depressed alot and got shitty grades, i pretty much credit weed for every single good thing that has ever happened to me.
oh, and legality isn't in issue, its decriminalized where i live. and in Seattle the chief of police throws away every case involving marijuana use, so theres no way i could get in trouble.

and ill just throw this out there; it may prevent cancer.

This is kindof dumb. When you smoke that consistently it's hurting your insides and you won't find out until later.. And how you can keep a healthy relationship, a 4.0, and a good job while being high everyday is a gift. Good luck with all that because it's going to catch up to you.

Other drugs are proven to be addictive and very harmful. Marijuana is neither.

The only side effect that I'd view as negative for daily use is that parts of your brain may become smaller, but this is after 40+ years of use. Even then it's hard to say if this will really impact your daily life.

I'm all for it. Only thing is though if it is legal it would get taxed and cost shit loads more.

In cali the tax sales of an ounce would be $50 if AB 2254 passes, the additional sum to that hasn't been released but it can't be that much more.

    Legalization of marijuana

Because other drugs tend to harm more than just the person who uses it. Marijuana users have far less violence tendencies than people who do like meth, or coke. People who use drugs like meth, coke, heroin, etc, tend to be more of a plague on society. While there are Marijuana users who are plagues on society, their numbers are far less than those who use other drugs.

    Legalization of marijuana

People did not recognise the dangers, and when people realised it was bad and tried to make it illegal such as prohibition in the 1930s in American it was completely inevitable with bootleggers etc. They couldn't make it illegal if they tried, too many people associate it with their modern lives, it applies with cigarettes also.

    How do you figure that?

Do you not think that the benefits like the fact that you'd KNOW that it wasn't laced, it would basically be medical grade, and you wouldn't have to worry about legal implifications would make up for the fact that it would cost more because of the taxes?

It's not really a question if it is going to be legalized. It WILL be legalized within this next decade, in the US at least.

I agree with you that smoking it will hurt you eventually.

The latter also applies to me, disregarding the smoking everyday bit. I've been using Marijuana for the better part of a year now, and have maintained a near-4.0 average while maintaining my current relationships on a healthy basis.
The only difference is that I use marijuana on the weekends, and I vape it rather than smoke it.

Why are people still debating this. Anyone who isn't a complete dumbfuck moron jackass knows that legalizing weed and all other drugs is the best and only option to get out of these fuckin dark ages.

How? Our substance would be regulated, which means health checks to make sure all we're getting is pot. No more resorting to dealing with shady figures and potentially funding crime.

    Yeah. Legalize de herb, mon.

It's nothing like ecstasy or heroin and should never be compared to any of those hard drugs. It's nothing like that. Hopefully, California will get it legalized so Denmark can follow. :)
