What to Wear to a Formal Job Interview.

What You Should Wear to a Formal Job Interview.

This is my first guide out of several coming guides. I am going to be aiming to become a user educator.

You have spent weeks applying for a job. And you finally get an interview for a job you really wanted. You might be nervous, even if your resume is amazing.

You might not know this, but first impressions count for ALOT when you are being interviewed. The first thing the interviewers see is what you look like so I am going to answer this question for you.

    What should you wear?

When it comes to job interviews, first impressions count. Recent research has found that a first impression is generally the first 30 seconds of meeting someone. A first impression means your attire and your attitude. Your first impression could be the difference between getting the job and getting rejected.

After all, no one wants a slob working for them.

It is very important to feel confident and motivated during an interview. Wearing nice clothing can boost your confidence and make your self feel important.

Follow these tips and you can raise your chance of getting a job.

    Hair:
-Get a haircut and make sure it looks neat.
-Shave, or trim facial hair. As long as it is not too long, you should be fine. It just has to be under control and look nice.
-No crazy hair styles. (I.E. Mohawks, Liberty Spikes etc).

    Jewelry:
-Men should wear a watch and no other jewelry. Wearing a watch makes you look sophisticated. But make sure you do not look at the watch while you are giving the interview.
-Women should not wear excessive jewelry. Keep it simple.

    Perfume/Cologne:
-Men should wear little to no cologne. Just use some deodorant and take a shower before you go to the interview. Smell nice but do not overdo it.
-Women can wear a a little more than men can. But do not use too much perfume. Just take a shower before you go to the interview.
-Wearing too much perfume/cologne while you are sitting in an enclosed room with your interviewer can be bad.

    Clothing:
-Men should keep it simple. Make yourself look sophisticated with a dark colored suit, dark socks, dark belt, dark dress shoes, a dark colored silk tie, and a light colored dress shirt.
-Your tie should not be something that is too flashy. Just Wear something plain and simple.
-Women should wear either a pants suit or skirt suit. A skirt with a matching blouse would be appropriate, too, in some cases. Dress shoes are a must, and hosiery is optional but recommended.

This should increase your chances of getting your desired job! Good Luck!

What to Wear to a Formal Job Interview.

Not bad guide. I would say this is very useful. You used colour and pictures well and the layout is great. To elaborate this further you could perhaps add how to keep cool and not get nervous, I know this isn't something that can be taught, as you can't really teach confidence there are some tips though. Also last point, Your grammar is well, but I picked up one spelling mistake of deodorant. Make sure before posting the guides post it on word for example and fix the spelling mistakes. Not bad guide at all 8/10.
    Good luck with further guides.

What to Wear to a Formal Job Interview.

This guide is not bad, but looking sophisticated isn't really everything. Most people on sythe are pretty young, and aren't going to be applying for a big position in a big corporation. The format isn't bad, not bad use of pictures, 6/10

What to Wear to a Formal Job Interview.

This isn't aimed at younger people. And your supposed to do all of these for jobs other than big corporate jobs (i.e. teachers, police officers etc.)

What to Wear to a Formal Job Interview.

Great guide, especially good use of pictures. 9/10

Edit: If applying for a high-level job, black suit white shirt red tie is the classic "power" wear, while if a job that requires more style black is the main tool.
