Silly/dumb Laws.

In pennsylvania, there are lots of really stupid laws. It's ridiculous. like..some of these:
You may not sing in the bathtub. (it's illegal)

You can't sleep ontop of a fridge outside.

Fireworks stores may not sell fireworks to Pennsylvania residents.

There are lots i've just heard of, but i also found this site that has a list of lots of pretty ridiculous laws..

I'm just wondering, why do you guys think that these laws actually exist? I'm thinking that there is usually a history behind the laws, that made the act illegal, but i can't think of something that would happen to make singing in a bathtub illegal ..

No. They're dead laws. It's just removing them would require a vote and such; they don't want to waste the time.

They're good if you're looking to catch someone, but the laws are still inplace. However there may be laws against using these - just put them in these famous books for hilarious history.

 

That was honestly what I was just thinking before I read the replies...but I'm sure an officer could arrest you for one of them if he wanted to be a dick.

 

I doubt it, I bet there is laws nullifying these.

 

Allowing your pet to mate with a pet of the royal family is punishable by death.

It is illegal to die inside the Houses of Parliament.

The Prime Minister is by law entitled to receive a pig from the royal family on the first of every month.

In York, you can kill Scottish people, as long as you use a crossbow and it isn't Sunday.

 

These are obviously not used, but seriously, I heard some one that someone in york could beat up someone who is scottish, If I did that by law I can get away with it? If I become a police man I would so arrest someone for something like that, be funny.
