Why Games Are Not Entertaining Anymore?

Dunno whether you guys have the same feeling with the player. I do, but dont know why.

I enjoy many games whether or not the graphics are good or bad.

Why was this copy and paste needed when you could've just posted the link?

 

I think it's all part of growing up. Back then, being able to play games was a privilege. Nowadays, it's just like "Oh you have Fallout 3? So what".

The new generation may simply not appreciate the games as much as we did back then. I remember, I used to play Starcraft. It was the best game back then, IMO. Now, I'm like "Starcraft? Who cares".

 

i only enjoy game with good graphic and a good storyline...

I remember super mario bros melee on game cube was the funnest game ever made.. back then We all friends get together and just play against each other...

 

If you're talking about only MMOs, then yes, I agree. Most of the games are all about grinding and shit.

If you're talking about every game, then you're wrong. There are few great games out there that I loved a lot and finished it more than 10 times. You probably just prefer the old fashioned Mario style games.

 

The nostalgia fanboy story you are posting is just that.

Games never changed, sure the graphics did, but the quality per technology never got any better or worse than it already was. Your mindset changed. You grew up, you don't find the same things as enjoyable as you once did, and with outside factors such as stress, that plague you quite a bit more than they did as a child, you find it hard to enjoy certain forms of pleasure anymore. This is not uncommon, unfortunately, the only solution for it is changing your mindset.

 

The reason that you don't think games are as good as they were is because you've turned over those fun memories you had as a child, and because of the repeated memories you've gradually changed them, making them seem god-like; but, now, you think that no game can possibly compare as you've these falsified memories; also, because you played these games as a child, they were much more fun, and, today, in (young-)adulthood, they simply don't offer the same amount of fun.

Games are like heroin. Most incredible thing in the world, then you only play cause you're addicted after years.

 

Games will always be fun to me. I basically play old school games as well as the new stuff. I could care less for graphics if the story is epic the game will also be epic. Granted games were much more fun as a child because playing a video game with a friend was one of the best things to do and was a privilege.

 

There are so many games you can play that are fun, especially if you have the money, personally, i just don't have the time
