[DENIED] Report Discord UID's

I was just thinking since Sythe is no longer simple trading over Sythe like it used to be and now it's mostly Discord based we should be able to report Discord UID and have a list of IDs that have attempted to scam.

Since opening my Discord not long ago I've had several people try to scam me claiming not to have a Sythe account, then change their name and profile picture and move on to their next victims. They've also tried PMing my customers and scamming them.

So maybe - if we had a report system for Discord ID's and people could CTRL + F that list it would save people from some scams and I know Discords can be made infinitely but possibly the Sythe account linked to that UID could be found and banned as well...

Usually when a user is reported, there's a section to add their discord uid. So you can simply paste it into Sythe search bar and if they did something on that discord, it will pop-up.
You can also report people with no Sythe account, by using their discord tag/UID

So, I don't see a reason for this to be implemented

Okay - I guess it's not needed. Still, would love a way to search Discord UID to see if it's a scammer pretending they don't have a Sythe account.

 

Tried it on a few people - nothing came up. Scammers with months old Discords. They just probably haven't been reported... I don't know.

 

Just report them, so they start getting tracked

the "search" option should show them if they have ever been reported.

I think, unfortunately, not many people (including myself) actually bother reporting scam attempts.

 

In the past some users would include the email/report of account recovery disputes and some wouldn't as it was never really emphasized to include that information within reports for a long time. We had a separate thread dedicated for users to post links to those disputes along with the login info associated to the account, but eventually the thread would get clogged and a new one would be needed to be created and ultimately this was a waste of users/staff time. We ended up changing the scam report template to require users to include the email/user login associated to the account as that was the most convenient way to log all of this information for both users and staff.

I say all that to say the same thing applies with logging UID's. Whenever you post your UID on Sythe it'll appear in Google and Sythe searches.

If it doesn't pop up, then it likely went unreported as Yoshiki said. We encourage users to report any suspicious activity, but a lot of imposter scammers/users attempting to scam make new discord accounts quite often so it can be hard to track. As always make sure to get a Sythe PM and to triple check all of the information lines up prior to dealing with anyone. Refer to: A warning to all Discord traders.
