RS is not Turning into WoW

The reason that they share similarities is because they're MMOs. Yes, they both have dungeons; yes, they both have similar damage systems; and, yes, they're both large MMOs.

 

but it wasn't always like this, it's just recently becoming like every other MMO.

 

Runescape still holds it's uniqueness. Just because it's adding features that can be attributed to other MMOs doesn't mean it is becoming like every other MMO. Runescape is a fun game to me because it's gameplay is totally different than that of any other MMO that I have, and maybe if they input some drastic changes such as messing around with the combat system and the way your character is played, I'll say it's becoming like other MMOs.

 

I myself have never played WoW and dont plan on it.

Although my friends do play it, I have watched them played and haven't seen anything really significant between the two.

They think Runescape sucks and is a rip off of WoW, but yet they haven't shown any proof of it.

It's a matter of opinion in my eyes.

And this may have nothing to do with the topic and im not sure if its true or not, but didn't Runescape come out before WoW? I'm talking about the online game. Not the stragetic ones they came out before WoW Online.
