whats good to high alch these days?

 

There's isn't much nowadays, however, Barker Toad Pouches are decent.

 

I suggest battle staffs... Old method, but it still works.

I always stick to Yew Longs because they're easy to buy, the cost isn't too bad, and I can make them if I feel like coming out even/profiting.
