Color Fades on Sythe

How do you make fades like this? Esuom is no longer with us.

I found something that isn't exactly what you want, but it's kind of close:

Something like that requires HTML codes, which I think are disabled in most of the forums. So I think it's impossible to do nowadays.

 

Esuom occasionally still does it just to piss me so I think it works. Someone has an example in their vouches thread.
