I understand you Spyike, basically he's eliminating any chance of his premier account being banned for possible bs (it happens). And by stating he will never refrence he is the owner of spyike270 means that if a scammer says they are don't beleive them. I see how he is trying to be completely legit and clean but on the other hand I feel like your causing more trouple for yourself as people will recover accounts and scam you but if you were using spyike270 they wouldnt tons of "legit" members scam leechers.

Much more attention than I thought this thread would attract.. but, this is Spyike270... As for my risk as a low level poster/buyer, I know who the legit are and if by chance one of you scam me, be sure this leecher will have the proof to put you down.

So you're making it harder to do business for yourself? Whatever makes you happy I guess.

I've actually never had an issue conducting business here on Sythe. I came in the door a 1 post leecher buying high-dollar and to this day, have not been scammed.

Oh Nooo. This account will still foam at the mouth from time-to-time, provide a legit (perhaps bonded) method for donations and still quest to gain the friendship of Darkgroove..

    Logic fail.

If you care about reputation at all, you should only care about how it reflects on you, not on one particular alias of yours. Thus, if you make a new account, then you should feel just as irritated to be impersonated on that account as on this one: there should be absolutely no difference between the two. Otherwise, your integrity is merely superficial.

Although, why you'd go to such lengths for an impostor puzzles me. It's not your fault if someone is foolish enough to fall for it, and if the scammer doesn't use your name, he'll simply use another mods. You're not preventing any scams, you shouldn't feel guilty if you have nothing to do with it, etc.

The respectable words of Sin. What is it that makes us feel weak at the knees when she speaks directly to us?? You my favorite. As with most things I do, this too will not stand the test of reason. In the end, it all comes down to my actions per my point of view. Smile

This really makes me think this is an attention whore thread.

Now I think you are doing this to try to gain a better reputation on a different account and you are just announcing this to cause drama. This idea seems REALLY stupid to me.

Even after reading this whole thread I still do not get why you would just make a new account.

Maybe ask to close the thread right after you have made it instead?

Seems stupid to get everyone going on about it and then say, "it is what it is..."

ur reason is well not good, fact that if people are 2 stupid to follow simple rules and not ask for a pm then they will learn the hard way, i get a few scammer reports and it all form imposters some even posted screenies of msn names scamming them which were already on my imposters list so there ignorance there own fault

When a person asks you to pm, just send a normal message with his nickname, MSN email, chat log.

Have a clear indication on your signature saying I do not have MSN accounts, ask for a pm, etc. You shouldn't resort to this.

Also, can't we just get an admin to IP check what your other account is?

I still don't get the point in doing this, but I ask that you tell a staff member your other account (it wont be exposed).

    Yeah good luck with that.

Was going to type a tl;dr like sin, but then saw the above two lines and decided to +1 it.
