Girlfriend might be pregnant.

Wat do?

I say might because I do not know for sure if she is pregnant. We're buying a home pregnancy test next week. Depending on what that says will let me decide what I do next...

Abortion is our only option. I've never been one to think about prolife or prochoice, and that's not what this is about. I've looked up the cost and I've been getting mixed answers/

Has anyone experienced this before? What happened.

Don't abort just yet. Tell both your parents and her parents. Ask them what do they want to do. They might want the child.

How old are you? Are you too young to get married? Or do you not want to get married to her? What religion are you? Abortion might go against the belief of your religion. I'll research it if you tell me which religion. Did you use protection when having sex? If you did, what protection did you use?

I know some of these are personal questions, but if we're going to help you, we need answers.

I myself have been in the same position as you, Considering we were so young our only option was abortion.

Man up and take care of the baby. It was you/your girlfriends choice to have sex and not use a condom. (never said you used one, so its an assumption.

 

They made the mistake, why should the child suffer from parents who don't want it?

 

Even though I'm against abortion, it's your choice and your life. Do you think you can take care of the child? How can you kill someone that hasn't been born yet?

 

Obviously everyone here is all about what is right and wrong. I'm not putting my personal beliefs in to question with this situation.

I don't have the financial stability to take care of a child, I don't care if I kill something that never should have been, her parents would be kinda pissed at me if they found out, etc etc.

 

Abortion is not killing anything, it's stopping a tiny amount of cells developing into something else.

In any case, people generally don't have a problem with killing dinner or a fly.

On topic, it sounds like you don't have a lot of choice anyway.

There's always a possibility that she is not pregnant. Try not to stress over it too much because stress kills. I think you should abort if you don't have the funds to take care of the child. I have never been in your situation, so I have never had to decide.

I know it's hard but do what you have to do.

 

WOW...Please don't listen to gohan. Not because I think you should abort, but because his logic is completely fucked in this case. "You should suffer"...no he shouldn't, and even if he "should" suffer why should his kid? I don't have words to really explain how twisted that quote is.

On to the help. How old are you?

When I was 16, I accidentally got my girlfriend pregnant also...Long story short we got it aborted. We decided to go with the pill, not plan b...plan b can be bought at you're local drug store for around 50 bucks. From what I can remember plan b will only work within the first 24 hours ( I dealt with that once also ). But we decided to go with the pill which we were able to get at planned parent hood...So I had to shell out 500 bucks to get it. The "pill" was actually 2 pills. First pill was taken one day then the next day she took the other. That's when shit started to go down, called me crying that she couldn't move because her cramps were so bad, so I left work and went to her house. I won't get into detail but she was experiencing horrible cramps/headaches/bleeding...a lot of bleeding.

Honestly this decision is on you guys, no one on this site knows you're situation...so I can't tell you what to do.

All I know is we didn't have the means to bring the child up properly so that's what we did.

If you live in the US I would advise you go to planned parent hood. They have all the tools you need to either abort or the guidance to keep. I never let my mom know by the way, that is also on you if you want to bring it up. If you choose to abort I would save that conversation for another day. If you choose to keep I would tell them IMMEDIATELY.

Makes me laugh all those saying abortion is wrong, what about if someone got raped? abortion, sometimes, is the only option for people, imagine being a young girl and being pregnant with your whole life ahead of you? You would be scared as hell and the thought of abortion would probably come into your mind.
I know all your religion preachers will disagree, but quite honestly, I think religion is just a way for people to separate themselves from others, I do not disagree with religion, just people who insist on preaching their beliefs to others.

 

My girlfriend has become pregnant numerous times, from her contraception failing, my parents actually wanted me to have a child, just so they could have a grandkid, but we are not ready for a child, and so she got a scrape, they don't cost anything if you go to your doctors about it, well, where im from they don't.

Yes, this could help, but it seems like he doesn't want to keep the child, so the best thing to do would to think about it, not long before it's too late, but discuss maturely with your girlfriend, hey, it may be a good thing? but think about the early mornings, feeding, bathing and everything, it's hard work mate.

Your ages aren't an issue. As long as it was consensual and your gf doesn't report it, your doctors can't either. They can only break confidentiality for certain age gaps and brackets. It may depend on the state you're from, so look it up, but it shouldn't be a factor in your decision.

Is an abortion really what she wants? I am pro-choice, but I believe the choice belongs to the woman, with the father's input. An abortion is not easy, and I think a lot of men - clearly you among them - underestimate how difficult it is for some women to do, and that it does have lasting emotional repercussions. Your decision of abortion vs. adoption vs. keeping should not be decided by the price, or her parents being mad at you.
