New ban appeal process

Is this strictly for macro bans or does this also work for RWT bans?

 

its a shame they dont un ban rwt accounts after some time or manual ban accounts

 

attempted to appeal 3 accounts this way for the heck of it, nothing went right lol. none of the appeals worked for me.

So as it stands if an appeal is denied is that an actual perma ban or is there ever a chance to appeal again?

 

I got my main banned, it had 2K+ total, I've heard that you can wait for 3 years to try to appeal but I tried to appeal it around the 1~ year mark and got denied. The new system doesn't seem like it will let me appeal again, the appeal also just shows "Appeal Denied" but not "Unappealable" so does that mean I will be able to re-appeal after a certain amount of time?

 

I just tried to appeal a 3 year banned main account 2k+ levels on RS3 and OSRS and was 15 years old, had major bot ban for a couple days over 3 years, the moderate bot ban and that was for 2 days and was over 4 years ago, no other bot bans before then. Appeal got denied.

I then tried to do an appeal of another 2k+ OSRS account that was banned over 2 years, that also got denied.

Not a big fan of this new appeal process, all times I apologized profusely to Jagex.

 

Yeah, I feel like people should be able to get a second chance being unbanned after a certain amount of time. I understand for the RWT bans and unable to appeal, but minor macros and major macro infractions should be appealable after a certain amount of time.

 

Any updates? Was anyone able to submit a new appeal after a denial with the new system? Do we get one appeal every 6 months? Every year? One and done?

 

I don't think that Jagex know what they've signed themselves up for.

They're trying to combat everybody's complaints about the "unappealable ban system" so they've opened up the ability to explain our sides... but now they're going to be flooded with requests that are more than likely going to be fabricated stories.

I wonder how many appeals they'll grant each person. Can you just keep appeal indefinitely until they give up?

 

No it's worse now you get one appeal and then you are blocked from anymore appeals, we are trying to figure out when Jagex will let you reappeal again after a denied appeal, after 6 months? 1 year? Never?

 

I'm pretty certain you will get the chance to appeal again sometime in the future, personally in my opinion I think you will at some point. I got the chance to appeal twice on my newby acc but got denied, but still it's something lol.

That was how it used to be. They updated it a few months ago. You get one appeal and that’s it now.

 

What is the current turnaround time for everyone these days? I submitted an appeal last Wednesday (a week ago), and still in a pending status.

 

I'm going in bois, choosing option #3 "I'd like another chance" will post feedback.

 

i had 2 accounts, has been banned for 4 years.
I ichoose option 1 " someone else was using my account", was banned for " macroing majord". Did not even recieve a temp ban.
Told them that i came back after a long break just to find out that my account had been hacked and asked if it could be recovered.
Also Asked that i also just recovered the email that the account was connected to.

So yeah, hoping for the best. ill keep yall update.
