How too Change your realmlist!(Guide)

Okay first thing first on your computer screen you should see this:

Right-click it:
Then you should see a drop-down menu:

You'll want too click Open File Location.
After that you should see this:

Click "Data"
Then you should see this:
Click enUS.
*Note I'm from the US so if you are from EU it should say enEU.
Then you'll see:

Click "realmlist"..
Then a notepad should open with this:

If you see where it says "us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com" That is realmlist that'll get you back into Blizzard's realms aka The real WorldofWarcraft..I highly recommend you right the orignial realmlist down somewhere.
Now at this point if your on the private server's website somewhere it should show the realmlist id and you'll want too remove "us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com"
Then enter in whatever the private server's realmlist is for example:

PS: If you need somewhere too find a worldofwarcraft private server Go too Xtremetop100.com There is be a good amount of private servers there .
Also I'm on vista,so this guide will be different for people on macs or anyother Operating system.

I hope you know that what you just posted is nothing new. People have known about this for several years now. Even if someone finds their way to a private server the good ones tell you how to do this in one form or another. Also this belongs in WoW server development, not in cheating.

 

I know this isn't new... I know for a fact that about 90% of the problem for people new too private servers is changing the realmlist Yes I know it's easy,but still does that not mean I can't make a guide on it?

 

Thanks for contributing, Yes this isn't nothing new people have been doin it since the start of WOTLK when they moved the file but it is still useful for people new to private servers.

This guide only works for Windows. Plus it has been reposted all over the place. Just saying.
