    Hello sythe,

I am writing to you this morning - 3 am. I have not slept in ongoing 63 hours and have not talked to 1 soul during this entire time. I am frequenting these forums on and off not only trying to sell my game account to buy more pills, but to contact human life as well. I have yet to be able to see the light of day as I feel as though people will see me and know i'm on something and call the FBI.

    My backround:

Ok, so i've been gaming since I was a toddler. I have been playing runescape since rsc and was heavily addicted to it in my teen years. I have also now become addicted to world of warcraft, which was fun for a while but have since quit. In the recent 2 years, I became heavily addicted to amphetamines(speed). I live in a van next to my mother's house and I take perfect wi-fi from the next door neighbors so I am able to post.

I began taking amphetamines to focus on long gaming hours so I could be the first in my guild to do this, the first to do that. I felt amazing, I was POWERFUL both rl and ingame. I fell in love with these pills. Every weekend I would have a 36 hr spree then crash and go to school. I eventually hit 11th grade but have yet to pass it. As time went by, I began taking them more and more. I upped my dosage all the time. I always needed more - always needed something. I began stealing from the neighborhood houses to make extra cash. I stole over $3000 in one night and was hooked on that as well. It perfectly complimented my addiction. I could steal as much as I want and then do as much as I want. This made me feel so warm inside that until 3 months ago when I aqcuired a part - timer I was hooked on that too. Now today, I am still hooked on amphetamines. I'm not sure what to do and could really use some support here.

Any support is appreciated, I would like to hear from you guys.

PS: sorry if it's a little scrambled. not sleeping for so long and doing drugs the entire time doesn't make your brain work out too well sometimes.

Well the first thing to do is to stop taking the drugs. You need to realize that the drugs are slowly killing you. Give them up.

Next, make sure you eat properly. Did your mom kick you out? Patch things up with her and move back in.

Stop gaming so much. Games are not your life. They don't matter and they just serve as a form of entertainment.

Sleep at the right times. Stop stealing. You'll only get busted. Drugs will get you busted as well.

    Good luck.

You need to seek assistance in this.
    - Check yourself into Rehab.
    - Admit to your family and yourself that you have a problem.
    - Find a better way to spend your time then gaming
    - Patch any problems that you have with you family and try to move back in.
You yourself need to have the drive to stop.. You have to want to stop and be willing to
put in a lot of effort. If you patch things up with your family they will be your rock during this period.

    Good luck to you.

First and foremost, and this will be the most difficult thing to do, stop the use of amphetamines all together. You're stuck in a vicious cycle right now and that's the cause.

I'm going out on a limb here but I'm assuming you don't have the money for rehab/an institution, so scratch that. Does your family know? They are going to be your support. They're your family, they'll love you no matter what (usually). Get with them ASAP, give yourself time. A month or two to get back onto your feet.

After that, get yourself a job, you'll want to be busy. You don't have to stop gaming altogether. Hell, gaming is a great anti-drug, continue it, just in moderate amounts.

Good luck, I'm sorry to hear about your issue.

I'm so sorry for you mate, but you just have to get off the drugs.

I have seen people destroyed like this, and it looks like you're not far off. Happily, I've also seen people recover.

I don't know how rehabilitation works where you live, but if there is anywhere you are able to go where you will not be able to get drugs, go there.

Breaking any addiction is hard, but amphetamines are one of the hardest. But please, please try before your life is completely ruined by them.

I do have a job right now, it's a bit more complicated than simply quitting and apologizing to my family.

See, 1 years ago I was drunk driving with my 13 year old sister in the car and got into in accident. I survived with some broken ribs and bruises, but my sister died a very painful slow death. My family will never forgive me for this and I can't live with myself anymore. To be honest, I want to die.

The drugs are not a catalyst to fill the void created by what you did.
Check yourself in rehab its the only way to help you. If your sister was
alive she wouldn't want you to live like this.

First and foremost, TELL SOMEONE. Yeah, it may sound like the kiddy thing to do, but you MUST tell someone. If not your family, tell a friend. You NEED to seek professional help.

Though you may think you want to die right now, YOU REALLY DONT. There's no need to actually think about that, I'm sure your friends/family don't want you to die!

I suggest you seek professional help ASAP.

It is not the end of the world. You could apologize to your family and promise you'll change. After a while, they'll see your desire to change and they'll forgive you in time.

Dying will not help. Think of what your sister would've wanted you to do.

Are you fuckin retarded? You can't just "stop taking speed". Stop trying to sound old and giving advice that's out of your leage.

    This ^
It's just like saying quit Sythe today and give up all of your runescape items for free, because you have to quit runescape too.

Yea, you can't just stop taking "anything" you're addicted to cold turkey like that...unless you're extremely strong willed, and by you posting this asking for help tells me you're not extremely strong willed...which is not a problem many people aren't. You're definitely going to have to dig deep to quit.

    Here's what I would do:

    - Pick a family member that you love more than anything (for me its my Dad that passed away, whenever I'm feeling week I just think of him and I can do anything)

    - Slowly ween yourself off, smaller doses - even smaller - even smaller until you're off
    - Pick a hobby, a passion something you love to do or something you think you would love to do
    EX:
    Playing an instrument
    A sport
    Martial arts of any kind

    - Find a nice girlfriend
    - Hang out more with you're family
    - Look for a job to occupy you're time

And most importantly, tell a family member and prey they get you help because you won't get it willingly

Its going to take a patients, and don't expect it to be easy.

    Good luck chief.

I was TRYING to help. Something that you two are not doing.

If you find difficulties with quitting cold turkey, check yourself into a rehab center.

Bro don't listen to these guys who are telling you to go to rehab, there just going to give you DEA approved drugs that you become dependent on so they can take all your money. A safe alternative is to smoke marijuana. It'll cool you down and get your mind off of all the harder drugs, just my 2 cents get well broskii.

I doubt that will help. And if you have health insurance/live in Canada the drugs will be inexpensive or free. These are drugs that can actually help you, rather than recreational ones that only do harm to your body.

It's FDA approved, and most amphetamines are FDA approved.

Most people say quitting is the hardest part, but it's staying clean that is harder in my opinion and speaking from experience.

Detox/Rehab is the way to go and you must come clean with your family, they are your biggest support.
