Runescape Name Change

I have a question. Today should be the day that I can change my main name to this rare name. The rare name is supposed to come available today, but it still isn't. I don't know how it works, but does runescape make the name available at the start of a new day or do they make it available depending on the exact time that the rare name was changed on the account? Also, if runescape makes names available on the new days, then what is runescape time? Like its 9:00A.M right now, but what time would it be in runescape right now.

 

RuneScape is 15:55 BST right now.

Just wait a few more hours or till tomorrow and it should be available.

 

How do you know when a rare name becomes avaliable?

 

I do it like this:

1) Add rare names to ignore list.
2) When the rare name gets changed, you take a note of the date.
3) 35 days later the name will become available and you'll need to quickly change to it before it gets taken.

Hmm.. Cool. I will wait for a little while. I checked runescape wiki just today and it said that the name will be reserved for you longer as long depending on how long you had that name. Does anyone know how much longer it would be?

 

I don't know, but can you change your name to another players login name if they've had a different display name for over 35 days?

That is correct, here in England at the moment the timezone is BST - GMT+1, as it's summer time. So work it out for yourself.
