Why do people buy junk?

Just wondering, why would people buy junk? you have to pay rsgp for it anyways... so if it is for a transfer, it's not doing any transferring really... I'm lost i just don't see the point, does junk serve any other purpose(s)?

 

To make it easier;

A = Person who wants to get RID of the junk.
B = Junk buyer

A pays B to buy his/her junk (trade price + PP)
B buys A's junk for the trade price, along with PP cash.

It's so A can get rid of his/her junk easily, and B can make a bit of money.

 

Some people might need it to get rid of their rares.

 

How does junk come into play?

Ah, I see... That makes some sense.

 

To make up the difference between G.E price and street price, people add junk or other unwanted items.

 

People sell junk to get rid of crashing items. People buy junk to use their in game money to buy the other person's junk, lose some money but gain IRL cash.

 

Yea, Most people use it for rares, ect.
