Is suicide right or wrong?

I'm not thinking of doing it and I am not high risk, I just know that it's apparently a sin to go to commit suicide, so I am wondering about your thoughts on it?
Do you think that it's a cowardly thing to do? A brave thing to do? A bad thing?
Yeah.. tell me. Thoughts?

 

It's a cowardly thing to do, in my opinion. I must admit though, I've thought of committing suicide multiple times over these past few years. But then, I've always pulled myself together.

It's your business if you commit suicide. I'm not one to take away anyone's free will. I'd rather you didn't, but I can't stop you.

As a Christian, I see it as the wrong thing to do. It is classed as murder.

 

But it's yourself. It'd be like robbing from yourself if it's classed as the crime murder :s. But I can understand people thinking it as immoral.

 

I think suicide is Brave, stupid but you gotta have nuts to really follow through with it, something like 90% of the people who commit suicide don't really even mean to, So if you mean to, and do it, you're the shit, but seriously, it's not the right thing to do, I would rather have someone kill me, if I wanted to die, that way, it's not a sin and I'm not intentionally throwing myself into the pits of hell, just go catch aids or something if you want to die.

Your soul is the property of god, you damage it(e.g smoking) you'll surely get bad deeds, and suicide would just get you to hell immediately.

This ^. It's your body, it's your life. As long as you killing yourself doesn't cause harm to another person financially, or physically, then I see it as fine.

Prove that the soul/god exists. . God says free will, so why can't we do with our bodies as we please without consequence? Telling us we'll go to hell if we do anything to harm our bodies isn't free will, it's a command at gun point.

 

If the pro's of it outweigh the con's then yes, I would accept it.

If it was for terrible reasons that can be prevented then no.

Agreed Louis. I feel as If i want to commit suicide i will. There is nothing wrong with it. Your Mind, Body, Soul, Etc. Do whatever the Fu*k you want. Anyway, Religion is a scam.

Very few people that commit/try to commit suicide have reasons I find valid. Reasons I find valid, just for example

Life in prison for murders or something similar
Being the driver, and only survivor, of a terrible car accident.

Basically anything along the lines of severe guilt, some people can't handle it, and a lot of times they had no control over the situation.

Most common ones in teens nowadays seem to be relationship issues with parents, boyfriends/girlfriends and bullying. Just seems weak to give in as soon as the shit hits the fan, no offense.

250+KMH into something is the way i'd go.

I believe you're a ruddy coward if you commit suicide, but whether it's right or wrong? That's not really a question that can be answered unless you're currently holding a gun to your head... which you're not... so I cannot answer truly because there's no context. I can say, however, that there are appropriate times for it.

 

I don't have any intentions on commiting this crime, but I believe if one has come to the conclusion of taking you own life, so be it.

 

It also has reference to stoning women to death, stoning people to death for wearing fabrics of different sorts (2 more more types of types of fabrics),etc.

OT - If someone wants to commit suicide, it is not my business to stop them at all. As long as they do it to where it doesn't effect my pocketbook, then i don't care.

 

I think that suicide is a sad thing to do. It shows that many things are severely wrong in your life. I think anyone who has suicidal tendencies/feelings should spend lots of time in therapy, but often they will not.

 

Suicide is good in my opinion. Reduces the world's population, thus, less resources will be used.

People commit suicide when they lose the will to live. And when you have no will, there's really no point in living life. All you'll do is live as a burden.
