    Thinking about Real life Merchanting!

I was thinking about merchanting in real life.

I have a few wholesellers that I can buy products from cheap and resale at retail or below retail prices or even dirt cheap and still make a nice profit.

For example: One of my wholesellers sales electronics. This wholeseller is selling iPhone 3Gs 32GB brand new in the box for only $105 + $50 s&h (minimal to buy is 5) which is DIRT CHEAP. If I resale this for $250 that's $95 profit.

Would this work if I actually did this?

Yes, just make sure you don't buy alot unless you can sell them.

Kids did this at my school, bought cheap chocolate (was really nice) from LIDL for £0.24 and sold it for £0.50, pretty good profits. My mate that did it sold 20 - 30 a day, he ended up buying a laptop and iPhone with the profits (and additional cash) he made.

You should hook me up with that wholeseller :p
I would try it out. It has a decent profit margin for only 5 iPhones.

you could do it with weed, like if you got a hook up with brick weed, you can buy a pound around 1000-1300 sell $20 per 1/8 thats like 2500 per lb.

Bought 5 iTouch 32GB for $35.00 each. What would be the best price to resale these?

It might have been a small business going into bankruptcy and needing to liquidate items ASAP.

But you're right, I am very skeptical. Also....

    $200-$250 if unopened.

Many people do this, and while it ticks off others, it works.

Just remember, you always need to be on your toes with this sort of thing.

Why should I stay on my toes? And why does it ticks people off?

    Interesting advice.:noworry:

Well, for example ebay, people merchant a lot on there. Buy an item for $100, sell it for $130. The other people who are looking for that item have to pay an extra $30.

And you need to keep on your toes because if there are sudden price changes, your going to have a bit of difficulty.

He said he got it from a whole seller which from what he said he can get iPhones from.

If these are unopened they go for 200+ on ebay easily. If he DID get them at $35 each then he will make profit no matter what because even damaged ones go for 50+

Sell the iPhones on eBay, or your local Craigslist.

Get a job at Footlocker, always go to the employee only sales. I usually profit 5-8k off them but I usually go with 2k cash. They happen roughly every 1-3 months where I live.

You should probably start out small, until you know what you're doing
