Kadaj's Lottery: April

Okay, I've decided to set up a Lottery. The rules are simple; I will list numbers between 1 and 25, and you pay $1 to choose one. Once all the numbers have been bought, I will use www.random.org to decide the winner. The winner will recieve ALL $25, I don't keep any. You are only allowed to pick 1 number per person.

To enter follow these steps:

• Send $1 to [email protected] via gift on PayPal
• Add the number you would like to buy in the 'notes' section when you send the money
• If your number is already been taken, I will contact you and ask which number you would like to swap too

Are you literally choosing the number from papers out of a hat? Or are you just randomly choosing one or using a random number picker?

 

I'm not actually sure about that yet, will decide when the numbers are full.

 

Well you should prob figure it out first, as your method of selection could be an influential variable in whether or not some people choose to play ; )

Thanks, and I would pull out of a hat, and maybe you could record yourself doing it? If not I would just use that website option seems the most simple.

 

I was thinking about recordering myself pulling the numbers out of a bowl or something, but the video would be too long. Consisting of me showing you all 25 peices of paper, me folding them all up, me picking one, me opening the rest up to proove I haven't switched the bowl etc..

That is why I've decided to use www.random.org

Not that trusting you would be an issue, but I can understand from your point of view that a want to prove that you are doing so fairly probably exists.
