Suggestion: Report a Scammer Forum

I would like to suggest that the permissions be changed on the Report a Scammer forum. I think the posts should be hidden to all registered users/guests. Many people post stating someone is a ban evader or has evidence of a user scamming in this section. The user whom should be banned can view this thread, and realize that the sufficient evidence will lead to a ban, thus, these users seem to go on a "scamming spree". I thought it may be in the best interest to have the posts hidden until dealt with to avoid some potential scamming sprees. Let me know if you support.

 

This came up before and I believe it was agreed that the report a scammer section also serves the purpose of warning members of potential scammers until a mod/admin gets around to checking the report. Also from my experience in doing them, very few scammers/ban evaders actually check that section.

tbh there is also an impact on scammers falsely reporting others as scammers for themselves to not be seen as scammers and this usually leads to the ruination of the legit person's reputation

 

Hmm I both agree and disagree with this.

Agree because they could see themselves in there and delete the proof of them being evaders.

Disagree because of what Skele said.
