really? can a mod come on msn and verify my chat logs? skele is being a total ass and wont check them. Really, get someone else that will take more than 3 seconds to skim through my evidence. I give every bit of info and he wont even take the time to check it.
You can not change the history on msn so you can verify them on msn

You can change chat logs (and history) and they will not be taken as proof.

 

nvm but you can check the file it hasnt been opened. I dont even now were it is. The point is, i didnt know he was going to scam. I have every bit of evidence. You just ignore me because you think i changed the text log. I have no idea were it is or if i can even change it. This guy scammed me 30 dollars and you just push me aside.

 

Go to My Document-->My Chat logs-->right click on the file of anyone-->edit-->change to whatever you want-->open msn-->double click on that person-->click "history"-->check if it changed.

 

Editing chat logs are simple. However, I have heard staff do accept them but they are considered "weak" and would not be enough to warrant a ban. They use it as additional information (or so I've heard).

 

We might use it as additional information, but we will not base a ban/unban over a chat log.

 

i edited it and relised. please just listen, this guy has scammed so many people with revoked gifts. I gave all the evidince i could. I think this is enough. I showed that the games were disabled, i paid for thim, the text logs dont even look changed, the emails were sent like 5 seconds before he asnwered. im just asking for you to pm him to give me a refund or unblock me and talk to me. i dont want him banned yet i just want him to either give me the gifts back or refund me. if he didnt scam me why has he blocked me? why cant he talk to me? he even says "if the gifts are revoked you ill get a refund"

 

So you got scammed, don't realize he scammed you (because you are asking him to refund), didn't take pictures during the trade, and are trying to use chat logs? Wow, sounds like someone should learn how to do interwebz business.

 

no he was legit, the games worked fine, then they got charged back and he blocked me. i trusted him because he had 37 vouches.

Why would they pm him when you are at fault for being scammed? They don't care about your money >.> Also, them pming him won't do anything.

 

how am i at fault for being scammed? its not somthing i could prevent, you obviously dont know a thing about steam trading. Pming him is like the police asking you to contact someone that you sold somthing to, its like you have to do it or you are in trouble. They should care because they monitor this community and should care when their members are loosing money to people like this guy.

 

Okay, but if the police don't have any proof that the guy stole anything from you, unless he admits to stealing it, then they can't do shit.

 

yes, but if they pm him, if he refuses to contact me he obviously is stating he did something wrong. He vouched for me that he sold me the items so he has already stated that he has done the trade.

 

To be honest, if you are so sure he scammed there's not a chance you are going to get refunded.
Just look at it as it's the mods loss as they will have to deal with this scammer somewhere down the line, If he does it once and gets away with it he's likely to do it again. Whether he is banned or not does not really affect you now, does it?

 

Or he just doesn't want to waste his time. Look, even if he scammed the money there is no way for him to get in trouble unless he either :

a) admits he scammed it to a mod
b) you show proof that he scammed.

 

i did show proof except for the chat logs, skele says they aren't proof, i don't even know how to edit them plus he could team view and check to see if i edited them. I gave plenty of evidence to show that my gifts were revoked and that he blocked me. If the mods pm him and he refuses to contact me then why shouldn't they ban him? Who doesn't have 5 minutes to prove they are innocent?

 

Well its clearly stated in the rules that they aren't proof, as you can go through and edit them in the computer yourself.

Thats not how the law system works out, anyways. You have to prove that he is guilty. In the court of law (america) if you have someone that supposedly stole from you, you have to give them evidence to prove they are guilty, rather than them prove they are innocent.
